Decanted for two hours. Dark, dusty fruits with graphite and cedar on the nose - still quite closed. Slightly thin palate, dark fruits, tomato leaf and other vegetal characteristics .

Dark lemon/gold with a greenish tinge, still looks full of life. Pronounced nose of citrus with a hint of musk/fairy floss. Well developed palate, lemon, almond with good length. A slight alcohol heat that blew off with some air.

Lovely medium ruby - clear as crystal. Nose shows a lot of promise with lush red fruits and bramble. Palate is as expected with high acidity, strawberry/raspberry, a faint touch of iodine/menthol, some slight liquorice notes, and good length. Solid.

I love this winery and I love this wine. It is beautifully-crafted and well balanced. Feather weight, but with detail, finesse and decent length. It is grown and then made with great care and it shows.

Closed at first, but then opened wonderfully after an hour in the glass. Depth and structure. Flinty minerality as expected, but balanced with earthy mushroomy characteristics, and then filled out with power and length.

Absolutely delicious - line and length. Gorgeous citrus and stone fruits, slight tropical twist. Lovely nutty mid palate has developed with time in the bottle.

A lovely vibrant garnet, but with some bricking starting to develop. Redcurrant, cherry and classic rose/tar on the nose with some mushroom characteristics starting to develop. Powerful palate, high acid and powerful clean tannins at first. Nice length.

Clean, deep intensity, purple. Pronounced nose, blackberries, black cherries and bramble, some kirsch and stewed plumbs. Creaminess and some speice, clove, nutmeg and vanilla oak. Youthful

Dry with high acidity, medium + tannins, body, intensity and finish. Palate as per nose, but with blackcurrant leaf, licorice and black pepper.

Apricot in colour, white peach and strawberry on the nose. Bone dry, super fresh. Cherry and pomegranate, lychee. Barely any bubbles but lovely nonetheless.

Picked up for a song at auction. Very intense dark purple, dark fruits on the nose with prominent oak. Nice palate, dark fruits and spice, good length. Oak and tannins still prominent but should develop well.

Slight trepidation as cork wet almost to the top. Bright and clear mid yellow holds promise, and honeysuckle, marshmallow and rose petals on the nose confirm it's held up. Gorgeous lifted floral palate a moment of surprise. Lovely acid and length but it's the swirling waves of rose Turkish Delight, with white peach, lemon and a slight hint of clove at the back palate for interest. 8 year old Pinot Gris eh.

This was absolutely delicious - classic Bordeaux profile but feather light and with so much life and vibrancy in the glass. Sparkled across the palate... Lovely.

With seven years of age, this was magnificent. Lush and rich dark berries and plums. Still wonderful acid with swirling tannins and chocolatey mid palate. Medium/long finish.

Delicious full bodied but nicely balanced. Fruit and nut chocolate with firm but integrating tannins. Lovely mouthfeel and great length. Much better on day 3 after opening. Hold for 3 and drink for 15+.

Interesting style. Intense nose and palate of black fruits. Round in the mouth, lacking some structure and finesse. Medium body with medium length. More a Central Otago style but without the complexity/charm. Will see how it develops on day 2.
