After 24 hours in a carafe this 2005 vintage opened up completely. What a difference in taste in comparison to yesterday. Not a classic Burgundy to me. Still youthfull, focus on fruit, high acidity.

One year ago this wine tasted like fresh cherries, today the fruit is completely gone.
What's left is a humid, autumn impression with no depth. A pity. I tasted two bottles and they both had the same evolution. Drink it young!

I drank an old bottle from the cellar of an old lady that never drinks. She probably got it as a present 10 years ago.
But the champagne was remarkably fresh en fruity. Still loads of fine bubbles. To my tast a little to much dosage but worth every point of the 90 score. A nice suprise.
