This would be a classic power Italian super Tuscan.

Lovely nose with floral hints and a hint of powder. And hints of dry oak floor.

Powerful nose. Chalky nose.

Seems younger than number one tonight.

No fruit in the nose. Nose 7/10

Tannins lighter than number one. 6/10

More of a steak wine than one. Seems to be Cabernet.

While I have this the same rating as the anwilka, this has longevity And more years in it

Classic Napa cab but far too young and strong acidity in the finish at the moment. I t would be interesting in 5 to 8 years. I could see it gaining 3 to 5 points.

My score could improve with a few more years and some decanting. This was a PnP - not blind.

Strong bordeaux blend with petit verdot backbone strongly coming through.

Acidity in the finish which will probably relax over time. Leave my next bottle for a year.

Yount Ridge Vertical with some side adventures: Definite bottle variation as I have this wine every wine as my base blind tasting wine

Had back to back non-blind against the Yount Ridge and 2015 and wow was I surprised in the result.

Slightly dirty cellar nose in the start so the Yount Ridge wins that round. Then the Faust takes over with the length of finish and body strength. The nose is a distractor and removes a point or two.

This was a pnp (not blind). With 20 to 30 mins decanting once we started.

Light chalk nose with hints of iron. Moderately full body and well integrated and balanced. HL 3/5. FD 2/5.

Acidy on the palate with light Sandy texture.

This was great with Italian food given the acidy which is not overpowering but just enough for backbone. Finish is moderately long. 4/5.

This may even gain a further point or two in the future.

I believe the decanting (>3 hours) really made this wine. Hints of Napa berry fruit on the nose but somewhat restrained. Dark red and almost reminiscent of Carmenere and an extracted Shiraz.

Fruity on the mid palate but fruit removes itself in the finish. A little steely and Mountain like (eg Veeder) so I was not able o place this until the unveiling.

Overall beautifully integrated and smooth (as noted, this may have been the decanting)

Woody and old oak nose. 8/10.

Tannins 7/10 and some alcohol in the finish but not overpowering.

This is a cloud pleaser which is not too thin or fruity but at the same time it's fruity forward 8/10.

Very interesting to me is that the nose disappears very quickly when in the glass. I am not sure I have seen this as pronounced as this previously.

This is a beautifully drinkable arrive with medium+ body and a moderate+ finish. 7/10

Many may rate this 88 but I think given the points it hits on so many fronts it is worth more. Far better than most $20 wines.

And great value for money. (90 points)

Not too syruo or cloying (less than I normally lien but for those who don't like syrup in your face you will like this). The nose takes a couple of points off.

Very fruity almost too juicy with a hint of prune juice. (Not cooked just real prunes)

Nose has hints of prune syrup and cassis.

This does not really go with a steak dinner as it is too fruity.
