6 months ago this wine was flat, but improved slightly with time in the glass. Not my favorite wine. However, now this is fantastic. Its a rich wine with a dark chocolate flavor. No need to decant.

Really nice right out of the bottle. Smooth & rich. Licorish/Plumb/prune and dark berry. Wish I had more!

Disappointing. Flat. Dry/Gritty. Fruit did not come out in this. Not at all what I would have expected from this wine.

Very nice wine. Medium body for a Pinot. Smooth with nice fruit. Went very well with sushi and complimented spice (i.e. wasabi) very nicely.

Fantastic bottle. Fantastic flavor, not light, but slightly on the bolder side. Very nice fruit. Great right out of the bottle.

Very nice! Was afraid this was going to be way past its prime. On the contrary. Very nice fruit. Slightly on the deeper, rich side. Opened up after about 30 minutes and just got better from there.

Drinking very nicely. Decant & let it sit about 60 minutes. Its a little disappointing at first with a tart flavor that goes away with time.

Tart & slightly bitter was the first impression. Flavor was off. Not smooth. Ran it through an aerator. No change. I let it sit overnight and it helped slightly, but still not satisfactory. I have really liked wines from this producer, but this was not one of them. There is a chance this was just off, but it was not corked.

Some spice, little fruit. Seemed somewhat flat and thin or diluted. Not bad, just disappointing.

Soft & Smooth. Nice strawberry flavor. This is much better (Softer) than when I first tried it 2 years ago. Let it sit & am very happy/surprised with the result. Highly recommend.

Did not care for this at all. It was tart & bitter. There was nothing I liked about this. I is possible the bottle was bad, but I do not think so.

Very good, esp for the price. Would have been a little sweet, but the tobacco (dominant) balanced it out fairly well. Good tannins, not to strong. Will definitely get a few more of these.

I think I liked the 2006 a little better. It was very good, but a little heavy on the pepper/spice. Seemed to mask the fruit that came through the second day. Mellowed a little after decanting & the second day.

This was very good. Full, intense, smooth, & well ballanced. A little more earthy than I would have liked. A little more fruit would have been nice. But ovrerall, very good.

Liked this, but left a little bit of a chalky taste and a little hot. Flavor was good. Definitely smoky (dominant). Not the best balance. OK, but would not buy again.

This was very good. I really liked it, but may not be worth the bevmo price of $28. Not extreamly full bodied, but very well ballanced. Smooth. Nothing harsh. Nice fruit, but would have liked a little more.

Tried with 2004 Van der Vijver Tempranillo. Van der vijver was smoother. This one was a little harsh, but OK. Not sure how to rate. Would put in Good to Very good catagory.
