Slight carbonation that passed after a few minutes in the glass. Citrus and brisk acidity but there is white fruit underlying. The fruit comes out as the bubbles release and when paired with food. Enjoyed with oysters at the Ordinary in Charleston. 14% alch.

Pleasant surprise. Relatively rich fruit with density accompanied by sharp acidity. Tannins are there, but not prominent. Enjoyable. Wish I had caught this a little earlier in its life to get more of the fruit

Holding up well. A little blackberry on the nose. Palate is smooth but alcohol (14.4) is present. Finish is little watery, but 13 bucks so pretty good. Exceeds the price point. Really enjoyable,

Big nose. Palate with great fruit - black, cranberry. Medium finish. There was a fine sediment that made the wine murky but did not detract from the flavors

Still fresh with a zing to the acidity, round palate with lemon curd and white fruit.

Enjoyable. Some cola and now muted red fruit. Full mouth feel. The alcohol at 15%+ is distracting.

Great color, deep garnet, no browning, Bordeaux nose of graphite and earth. Medium bodied and round palate. Black fruit, brisk acidity on the finish. Fruit is probably fading but still enjoyable. A small amount poured up into a second bottle and held for the next day was just as good. Really good showing for a "minor" Bordeaux

This bottle did not have it - cork was fine, but wine was browning with a caramel note. Great floral nose, good acidity, short palate and finish

I use this wine as a barometer for Bordeaux. It shows up in a local grocery store each year at $10/btl. This year's was good. Pleasant floral nose, sour cherry and cassis palate of medium depth. Short finish. A good bottle to introduce people to Bordeaux without having the price tag scare them away.

Still with a deep color, soft palate. A little watery on the front end but solid finish. Aged Bordeaux flavors. Drinking fine. Not sure it has anywhere to go though

Loved it. Dark, deep, well balanced (acidity proportional to the fruit/extract). 14.5% alch but you wouldn't know it.

Nice color, and nose but a little harsh on the finished. Cost more than others we've enjoyed this year. Not sure if this is a second label for the producer but not up to previous vintages.

Drank for a belated birthday dinner based on others' notes from this year. I agree that it is in good form with nothing left to gain. The nose was profuse on opening. Sweet, smooth palate. The profile is a little one dimensional which is a knock. That said, we'll enjoy this with the steaks that are just about set to come off the grill.

Friday the 13th. Good outcome. Deep garnet color, slight sediment. No decant. Better about an hour after opening. Leather, truffle, ah...aged Bordeaux nose. Palate is smooth, black fruit, balanced acidity. Easy drinking. Alch 13.5%
Drank this as I contemplated getting some 2015. Will do.

Cellar find (meaning I forgot it was in there). Not a good outcome. Synthetic cork closure. Wine color was good but slight oxidized notes. Not the wines fault. It wasn't made for this kind of mileage. Note to self: buy, chill, drink.

Wonderful nose. Grapefruit with evolving acidity. Fleshes out with time, softening. Paired with cheeses, pate and olives. Great mix on a spring evening. Nuff said ;-)

Very tart. Had with seared duck breast which pared well as the wine needed the fat in the duck to tame its acidity.

Just great, floral nose, fruit on the palate but nervy acidity that made it very drinkable. Alcohol in check at 12.5, we finished it off in one sitting

Neat wine. Translucent color to the point of vanishing. Slight menthol on the nose and some red berry. Mouthfeel was light but the palate was medium bodied. Aggressive acidity that did soften over time.
A minimal intervention wine that I suspect gets you closer to what Pinot noir from Burgundy should be. 12.5% alch

Drinking this as a PnP. Wanted something more acidic to go with the cheese and pate we are consuming while dinner cooks. Fits the bill.

Drank this the evening after a Rhys pinot noir. This is thinner bodied (not a criticism) leaning more toward earthiness. I thought it was fairly integrated and ready to drink. It does have the complexity on the palate that suggest more flavors will come out with more time.
