Well balanced Bordeaux blend that paired well with a grilled ribeye.

Maybe you have to wait 7+ years, and maybe 2008 was a n exceptional year for Oregon pinot, but this 113 was superb. Smooth, with enough acid to be perfect with food.

Great wine with steak. Integrated tannins, smooth finish.

Wow, we had another Sonoma Zin that was rated 92 on Cellartracker, which makes this a 95-96! Mouth-coating, rich and perfect with grilled meat. Dark berries layered with chewing tobacco, and more.

Quite nice for the price. We left it out overnight and it did not lose a thing. Perfect with (leftover) ribeye quesedillas.

Perfectly balanced pinot, not too much funk, enough acid and fruit. Got better with each sip.

Very nice chardonnay, without the overbearing oak. Tropical, but with enough acid to stand up to the fried shrimp with lemon basil mayo.

Concentrated fruit, chocolate. Lovely, mouth-coating tannins. After being open three days, it was still delicious.

Beautiful. Smells like Willamette Valley. Balance of cherry, raspberry, bacon, pepper. Luscious mouthfeel. With Roast Garlic Chicken, brown rice with grilled onions and jalepenos, haricots verts. I could drink this every Monday night.

Compared the '07 to the '08. Initial bouquet of tar, earth and wild berries. Not as fruit forward or bright as the '08, bus lusciously dusty with a bit of spice. Should wait another year and do the same comparison.

Bright fruit, good acidity, fresh raspberry, earthy without being funky. Balanced.

After being open for a couple of days, quite smooth with chocolate and cherry; reminds me of a melted chocolate popsicle from my childhood. Delicious.

Smoked raspberries, spice; great with grilled ribeye with chipotle/cumin/cayenne seasoning. Wish there was more. Delicious.

Dusty, fruity; better with every sip. The longer it's open the better I like it.

This wine has been better by itself than with food, so far. It may be that we haven't found the right pairing. It really shined after the Domaine Serene Two Barns.

Have enjoyed Domaine Serene for many years, but the Tow Barns did not quite live up to its pedigree. Probably could stand some more time in the cellar and more time decanting. The Boedecker '06 Stewart that we opened as the Two Barns dwindled was fresher, with more fruit, but still had the earth, miushroom, barnyard that we love about Willamette Pinot (at 1/3 the price). Will hold the remaining DS TB for at least a year.

Big, luscious, ripe, juicy and full of fruit. Almost sweet, it's so full of berries. This has everything I want in a zin, dark berries, spice, depth.

Who says there's no good Sangiovese outside of Italy! Great expression of fruit. After 90 minutes, it was full of berries, smooth and perfect with meatballs stuffed with ricotta.

Blackberry, tobacco on the nose. Good fruit on the front end. Weak finish.

The finger nail polish remover smell has faded, and the delicious berries are shining through. It was finally reminiscent of when we barrel tasted this in 2003. Can't wait to have some more.

Stinky, which I usually like in a Pinot, but this wass less barnyard and more sulphur. Has some nice fruit once you get past the smell, but finishes thin.

Excellent pairing with Crawfish and Asparagus Risotto; nice counterbalance to the creaminess of the dish.

After reading other reviews, was not expecting much. Decanted for an hour and the wine opend up nicely. Definitely tasted the cola and cherry and a bit of earth. Not very fruity, but a decent wine with the grilled pork chops with poblano pesto that we had for dinner.

We went in search of Rockpile Zins and found Mauritson. They were out of the 2002, but "if we were good" we could taste the 03 from the barrel. It was the best thing we drank all week! I've never bought a case of wine on futures before this. Full of berries and very smooth.
