wow. just wow.
3/24/2020 due to unexpected spoilage of wines that I've tried using coravin, I tasted this one again.

JUST over the edge on age. Other than that it's dark and complex and pretty tasty

coravin taste - this bottle has gone bad. poked another. it's better, but still a little sour. Under that is a wickedly delicious wine for the money. Delightful acid and tannin and balanced with fruit. But, i think these bottles all need to be consumed ASAP.

Brought the rest to Jim’s and everyone liked it.

Eight dollars. 13 years old. Wow. Tart. Slightly tannic. Tasty. Most fruit has fallen off but what's left is pretty well balanced. Eight fricken dollars.

Fruity And smooth. Medium tannin. Well balanced. For sure worth the price.

Delicious. Delightful funk. Slightly acidic. This would be a great porch pounder for the discriminating porch pounder pounder on the porch.

Tasted with Coravin. Delightful. earthy. not very tannic but deep taste. Ready to drink now, but I will schedule tastings out of my two bottles for six month intervals

opened in 3/2020 fearing coravin spoilage

Nothing much to shout about here. Way better than some 17 dollar wines I've had
I think today it's still too young. I'll try again in five years.

There is almost nothing to love about this wine unless you appreciate acid. The nose had a bit of promise but lots of disappointment on the palette.
Bring it to a party to share but don't let anyone know it was you what brung it.

Coravin taste
This was a good buy. Deep dark and medium tannic butterscotch and prune. Tried two bottles - the first had a slight spoiled taste at the very end, so I poked another. The second did NOT have that at the end, so I think it's a "bad bottle".

Coravin taste A little light, unimpressive yet strangley refreshing. The first sip had a very light spoiled taste which blew off almost immediately. Light tannins. High acid. Medium fruit. I'd guess this one won't go another five years.

Coravin taste. Totally disappointing. No flaver just bitter acid. No age shoes at all. Perhaps this one needs another ten fifteen years.
Try again in 2029

This wine is stunning but not in a luxurious deep dark tannic Napa opus one kind of way.
Stewed vegetables on the nose which is very light. On the pallet is a wonderful dark but very fruity surprise.
I don't know how better to describe this one except that youngish, it's great. Looking forward to trying it again after a few years.

The Pinot noir is predominant here

Simply amazing. Dark dark stewed prune with cedar and black pepper
Perhaps a TOUCH of TCA
Absolutely drinkable right now but I want to try it again 5 and 10 years from now.

3/25/2020 covavin again. I guess this got better because I don't think it was a little light.

I decided to taste this because it looks like a few of the corks are bulging a little.
The nose is barnyard with Charlie perfume. The taste is cedar and tannic
holding up quite well.
Ready to drink young - expect to age quite nicely
