Moderate sediment, so take care on the pour/decant. A flavorful, though restrained Pinot Noir. Definitely no California fruit bomb. Deeper, darker color fruit flavors on the nose and palate.

Excellent! I'm retracting my previous poor review of this wine/vintage, which I purchased at a restaurant, and actually suspected was somehow not the genuine article. This wine epitomizes a high-quality Napa Valley cabernet - rich and full bodied - with perhaps hints of the pencil lead and cedar of a Pauillac.

Relatively young, though the tannins are integrating nicely. A wonderful Saint Emilion...only those with the best taste memories will be able to distinguish this from a few superior vintages.

Feminine, fragrant, floral. A lovely example of a good Chambertin vintage. It drank well after a 60 minute decant. Enjoyable today, and for at least several years to come.

Perfectly enjoyable PnP...wouldn't let this age too much longer

Excellent. Subtle nose, the flavors open quickly over 15-30 min. Forest floor, leguminous flavors. Paired with rack of lamb...perfect.

Thick, rich, (oddly?) reminded me of an aged Bordeaux style blend. Tasty, though not at all a bright red fruit, floral type of Pinot.

Tropical citrus nose, a whiff of flowers, flavors of mango, and pineapple. Engaging, though not over the top. Full, full body, especially for a California SB.

Served at about 60F. Floral notes, turning to red fruit and then smoke/tobacco. A bit of heat as the wine warmed. Still drinking well.

Excellent first impression. Drank the first glass after about an hour of breathing time, and the second a few hours later.

Dense purple color and aromatics. A wonderful blend; drinking great today, and should age well for at least several years.

I don't know if anyone reads these reviews...but if you do...buy this wine...now.

As RB might say:
"You say you want a leader
But you can't seem to make up your mind
I think you better close it
And let me guide you to the purple rain

Purple rain, purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
If you know what I'm singing about up here
C'mon, raise your hand"

It took this some while after decanting and pouring to fully open. Quite enjoyable, though a tad over the hill.

Fine structure, fruit forward, tannic, still quite young. The wine is favorable to others of the vintage, though the value isn't there for those who have been cellaring 2012s for a bit.

Pleasantly drinkable, with the full rich flavors of a 2012, though the tannins feel restrained. Buy, drink, and enjoy while your other wines from this vintage age a decade or two.

This was nice. Full, rich, almost more of a mellowed Cab. Soft red fruit, a little spice on the mid-note, and a tiny bit of heat on the finish. Enjoyable and unexpected.

Oxidized, and disappointing.

Very tight, strong tannins, red fruit and earthiness. Surprisingly, not enjoyable. Ordered at a restaurant, and asked for a decant. Tasted about an hour later, and almost suspected they switched wines on us.

Full bodied, and elegant. Drank with out-of-state friends who "know" wine, and we all enjoyed it immensely. It's mystifying that Morlet is not better known outside of California, but that just means more for us "locals" for now.

Floral, tangerine, perhaps a tiny hint of peach.

Deep, dark, opaque, inky, midnight purple.

Restrained aromas, typical of a high quality Napa Cab. Quietly elegant.

Reminds me of many Burgundies. Bright red fruit, great integration of flavors and acidity. A touch of heat.

Now that's something different. This is a new for me, so I'll refrain from a rating. Sherry meets cider meets umami. Enjoyable and unexpected.

Served to friends from a decanter. My guests loved this wine, as did I. Dark red fruit flavors, balanced with tannins. Some aromas of plum and herbs/spice. A really lovely effort. Everybody guessed a much, much higher price-point.

Luc Morlet has brought Premier Cru Pessac-Léognan to the new world. This is the best California white wine I’ve tasted. Opened a bottle with friends, and we were all blown away. Dry, complex, honeycomb, a hint of candied bergamot. Huge full body, and totally enjoyable.

Yes, please!

Ruby colored with slow legs. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. Aromas of smells red currant and maybe a touch of sandalwood. I tasted blackberry, raspberry, a tiny hint of raisin, forest floor, toast and oak. Medium/full body with a silky texture and satisfying finish.

Watch the sediment in both the bottle neck and bottom.

Dark purple. Aromas and tastes of red currant, cassis and a touch of strawberry jam. Full body, fleshy texture, long finish.

Currently priced at $90/btl. Not as brilliant as the Reserve, but probably a good value at this point.

Amazing. Superb. Wonderful.

Wait. It's too early to drink. I opened one bottle and decanted for 3 hours. Simply too young.
