An obvious mature Brunello with a brickish red-brown color. Cork was in excellent shape. Decanted for 90 minutes and drank over the next 6 hours. Initial nose of rum cake and spices with a little earthiness thrown in. Very little tannins and sour cherry notes but ultimately I feel this wine is a little past its peak and I wanted more fruit. Nonetheless, very elegant medium-bodied Brunello...

Beautiful wine... still going strong and has some years to go.

Great Ontario red from a very good vintage... still drinking well - cork was in good shape

Popped and poured... cork was in excellent condition. The nose was very fragrant and still going strong. In the mouth, it was obvious the wine was a little past it's prime but still impressive for a 21 year old shiraz! A decent amount of sediment was present in the bottle - stood for a day prior.

A solid pinot - big and bold like a CA pinot. Should be fine for another 5 years...

Opened an hour prior and paired with a prime rib dinner. Cork was in perfect condition. The wine was big and oaky but not overpowering. Notes of meat, dark fruit and pepper with a balanced finish. Not sure if this will improve but has the structure to go a bit longer. Overall, we really enjoyed this wine.

Pop n' pour - paired with prime rib and sirloin... a decent medium-bodied wine but nothing too exciting here. Notes of smoke and plum but not much complexity.

Bought this at the winery as you very rarely see a single-varietal Petit Verdot... especially in a climate like Ontario. A light-colored wine with plum/prune notes and a good bite of acid. Might be a touch past it's prime so drink soon.

Really enjoyed this full-throttle white with aromatics of citrus, melon and floral notes. Great afternoon sipper... Will drink the remaining bottles over the next 5 years.

A solid well-integrated burgundy that's drinking well now but still has years ahead of it. Paired with a roast and roasted root vegetables.

From Steve's Cellar - PnP - paired with some Thai food which probably overpowered the wine a bit but nonetheless... a nice nose of stone and grass with a good bite of acidity. Drinking well now.

From Steve's cellar - cork pulled 1-2 hours prior. Youthful wine with a nose of ripe cherries and subtle floral accents. A bit more complexity would've been nice but overall a great effort. Should easily last another 10 years...

A solid effort but the overall score was hampered by an off-putting sulphur aroma on the nose.

A solid wine but one that I could get at $20-30/bottle as opposed to $60. I have one more and I'll hold onto it a little while longer.

Nice aged Ribera - nose of dark berries and stone. This is a nicely integrated wine but unfortunately, nothing much else going on. I would've liked to have seen a little more boldness - solid effort. Drink now.

Popped & poured through an aerator. Light color with a nose of plum, vanilla and some minerality. Something is missing with this wine - alcohol was a little too much on the finish. Not sure if more time in the bottle would help this wine?

Really enjoyed this wine with pizza - cherry, eucalyptus and chocolate notes with a dry finish. Love the price tag on this one and will wait a few few years to enjoy the last two. 91-92 range

Nice golden color and still bright and lively, spicy pear on the nose with a good amount of acidity. Still holding up well and perhaps the screw cap has something to do with this. One bottle left and I'll wait until it's 10th birthday to enjoy it.

Paired with Prime Rib - as with some of the recent comments... I didn't enjoy this bottle as much as the last one I had a few years back. Compared to the previous bottle - it had lost a step in complexity and fruit - still a nice wine but was expecting a little more.

No formal tasting notes... still a nice color for having 6+ years of age and quite lively. Thought it might open up in the glass but never seemed to materialize but nevertheless, a solid effort. Still has at least 5+ years left.

Deep dark purple - well-integrated tannins with sour cherry and a slight greeness on the back end. I would've like to have seen more complexity but overall... a solid effort for Chilean carmenere.

First off - loved the bottle! The wine was a nice deep purple color. Nose of cassis and pain grille. A good amount of grip from both tannins and acid suggests this still has some years to go. A very elegant Rioja. I won't try another one until 2015...

My second go at this wine. Pretty much what I remembered from the last tasting - nice old-world, old-school Aussie Shiraz. The nose was nothing special… blueberry, earth and leather aromas and on the palette – some chocolate and peppery notes. A solid wine but never really doing anything to set it apart from other shiraz aside form the style. IMO... it won't get better with more time in the bottle - drink now

Identical tasting profile from what I remember at the Winery in 2009... nice minerality and grapefruit/apple aromas. Very pure and clean with the perfect amount of acidity... will let the last one sit for a few more years and see what a little more botlle age can do.

Popped and poured - sweet black fruits with hardly any tannins. Walking a fine line of being too sweet... but it manages to pull it off. Nice wine. I wish I has some left in the bottle to try tomorrow night - but alas...

Drank this at the cottage on a hot summer day. I would've liked to see this wine open up more but nonetheless it had a nice singing acidity, with apple and grapefruit aromas. A very nicely balanced wine.

Great golden color - floral notes on the nose. A very well-balanced wine with enough acidity to be a great match for richer tasting foods. Would definitely buy again.
