Excellent bottle. I was expecting something much more aged and generally tired. Great notes of almond, dried apricot, orange zest, and honey. Very nice.

Still very dense and ripe. A good example of a very modern, ripe Douro showing some age.

Really sharp and fresh. Apparently dosage is around 10g/L, hard to imagine what this would taste like without that extra sugar rounding it out. Not a lot of autolysis notes.

OK wine, fairly basic. Good crushed black pepper notes on the nose/palate. Finishes a bit thin. Coming from the other side of the world and priced at $20 its a nice value.

OK bottle, doesn't really taste 8 years old. Preserved lemon and dried flowers, but still some primary notes. Not a lot of acid, comes off a bit flabby. Happy to have held a bottle this long.

Still very young, new oak still showing quite a bit. Lots of concentration.
I still prefer lighter less extracted Douro reds.
Absurd price through Garagiste.

Great bottle of Riesling. Amazing value. Bracing acid, sharp lime and citrus notes, wet rocks, slate, mineral. Delicious stuff. The reduced notes that I often associate with Schäfer-Fröhlich were not obvious on this bottle.

Excellent bottle. Citrus and stone fruit, blossom, flint, smoke, toast, rich but not heavy. At nearly $100 this isn't cheap. I think wines of comparable quality are available for significantly cheaper. Still this is an excellent Oregon Chardonnay.
