Surprisingly mature & developed for a 2000 vintage wine. The tannins were fully integrated & the rim was browning. Farmyard aromas hit the nose upon opening the bottle which remained present after an hours decant. There was also a little mustiness.....cork taint or just age? I can usually spot tca quite easily so i think this was probably just part of the aging process. Whilst enjoyable I felt the wine had peaked and I was left wishing I'd taken it out the cellar a little earlier. Consumed with roast chicken.
