Although the aromas were wonderful when first opened (dark fruits with a slight vegetal character), waited a tad too long in opening this one. Initial flavors of black currant, earth, tobacco that wrapped up very quickly. Last of my stash.

Came across this bottle in the cellar. One I had forgotten about. Although a bit "thin" at this point in time, nice dark fruit and syrah character still intact. A pleasant surprise for its age.

At this point, very un-dimensional and flat....No fruit.....perhaps waited too long to open.

Drank over 2 nights....dark red starting to "brick" around the edges....dark fruit with a bit of prune on the nose...palate surprisingly full of fruit.....now was definitely the time for this baby!! Very happy with the results!

Lovely, lovely bottle! Wish I had more of this, but it was a gift from a neighbor. Dark cherries and dark fruits, nice minerality, no tannins to speak of. Just one fantastic bottle of wine!

Definitely on the downside but not bad for 12 years old........Decanted......... Ruby on the pour with bricking around the edges. Musty initially with darker fruits coming out with air. Tannins still there on the pnp, but gone after about 15 minutes. Menthol, dark fruit, and some dark cherry on the finish. Probably would have been in its prime a couple years ago.

I REALLY liked this zin, and wished I'd have purchased more than one bottle...........found it to have a pretty even balance of fruit and spice......only negative is that it seemed to get "lighter" toward the back end. That's the only relatively derogatory comment I can make. At the right price, I'm in for more!

Nice aromas of green apple and orange, with both detected on the palate, as well as some white grape and a touch of kiwi. Interesting combo of flavors with virtually no detectable oak. Good acidity. A very easy-drinking summer chardonnay. I am pleased.

Buttery with faint berries on the nose. Light green apples on the palate; good mouthfeel. Don't consider it a "food" wine, but very nice!

As soon as I popped the synthetic cork I could smell grape juice.......aromas eventually evolved to red fruit, specifically bing cherries, and earth....... not a weighty wine at all, so good for a summer's eve. Very slight taste of strawberries evolving to raspberries with tartness on the finish. Wish this were a little more "hefty", but overall, an okay wine for what it is.

Very deep red......a bit thin, but those berry and spice flavors are shining through. I found this to be an exceptionally smooth and enjoyable wine.

After a 30-minute decant, detected red and black fruit on the nose. Palate of cherries and blueberries. Tannins present, but had smoothed out making the wine silky. Definitely in the last stages of its prime and headed down the other side of the bell curve shortly. Quite enjoyable so drink 'em if you got 'em!!

Drank this bottle over the course of three nights and it just got better each day. Initially decanted 2 hours. Smooth as silk, with wonderful black fruits and tannins which just kept smoothing out over time. If anyone is thinking of sitting on this some more, you are missing out on something truly special right now!! Drink up!!

Found this wine to be wonderful, with fruit up front complemented by soft tannins and a smooth and subtle oak finish. Had the good fortune of drinking from a 6L bottle at a neighbor's surprise 60th birthday party. Couldn't get enough of it!! Truly, a wonderful experience and one I won't soon forget!!
