Alcohol is over the top. Cassis and oak on the nose. Warming, dense mouth feel, light tannins, fairly short finish. I don't think age will balance this wine out.

It's hard to quantify this wine because, unfortunately, it is 5-10 years past it's prime. No fruit, no tannins, and the finish isn't even worth mentioning.

A bottle of wine that costs $12 and tastes good after 11 years is a great wine in my book.

If you own any drink this now or within the next year. Tannins are smooth, fruity nose with plum, tobacco, with subtle pepper undertones. Wine has great balance and a very long finish.

Tannic, spicy, needs to mellow out for a few more years. Alcohol was over the top. Liked the subtlety of the oak.

Nothing on the nose. No finish. Might as well be box wine.

Drink within 3-5 years. Fruit forward nose, heavy mouth feel, and decently lasting finish.

I started with 12 bottles several years ago, and each one that I drank has been better than the last. Great deep color. More spice & slightly less jam on the nose than a typical zin. Great fruit forward, smooth even wine with a lasting finish. Drinks like a $30-$35+ wine while only costing $16.

Layer after layer of complexity, plenty of fruit on the nose. Decanting was required due to heavy sediment. Wine needed several hours to breathe before it evened out. Incredibly dense & flavorful, this wine screams for food pairing and it went well with strip steak & roasted red bliss potatoes. I believe that this wine would age well for 1 - 1 1/2 years before it begins to decline.

Tobacco, chocolate, & currant were abundant, lots of flavor. Very balanced and exceptionally smooth with a fair-long finish. I think that it could age for up to another year without any decline in flavor. Needed to be decanted due to heavy sediment. This was a very good wine from a very poor vintage.
