Tasting at Kilikanoon! (Clare): mid-bodied, purple fruit, leafy leather, smoke. layered complexity, barnyard pong. juicy jam, yummy christmascake and cherries.
Spices, lush leafy bramble. textural finishing with yet more christmas spices.

A bouquet of alpine herbs, rose petals aniseed and cherry. Palate offers juicy sweet and sour red cherries, strawberries, rose water, aniseed, very subtle hints of orange peel, traces of almonds, tar and some tobacco. On the riper end of the spectrum, but not a bad thing here. Transparent garnet in colour, quite fine boned and delicate in texture. Prominent tannins are grippy, but not harsh. Excellent length on the finish. Needs another 5 to 10 years to really arrive.

Lots of red fruit on the aroma even with a hint of sweetness on the bouquet. The wine contains a lot of acidity (a lot a lot more comparing to the Oregon Pinot by Nicolas-Jay that I tasted in parallel). And I also felt a bit of fizz somehow!! A lovely wine which I was surprised as I tasted the glass almost right away without any decanting. (maybe also an expression of a nature wine ) If you like a fruity punch, this is very much the wine you should go for it. I love it personally very much!

2013 Lindeman's Trio Shiraz - Cabernet Limestone Ridge Vineyard Coonawarra Cabernet-Shiraz Blend, Red Blend
Superb wine. It is worth its RRP ($70) every day of the week. The fact that you can get it at about $40 at auction makes it an incredible bargain.

A sentimental favourite - the 1990 taught me what good old wine was all about. Pleased to see this old label back in form.

Lovely wine, very Franc dominant (which is a good thing to me)
Light bodied, easy drinking.
Great value, recommended.

An absolute brute of a wine right now. Black fruits, anise and spice. Feels rough around the edges but should settle down. Hold for a while.

Spicy on the nose. A little too fruity. A decent example of an Australian cabernet, with all that that implies. Had with steak and roasted tomatoes + panko + anchovies. Tannins are beginning to mellow but I would wait a year or two.
