Over delivered. Great easy drinking fun red wine that's not too serious but has plenty to offer.

This is a great rose champagne that is not too difficult to find. It does not disappoint. I've had this twice in the past year; once from my local Costco in 750ml that I opened the same night I purchased and recently in 375ml out for brunch. Trying to remove pairings and environmental factors I think the 375ml was better. It could have just been bottle variation or I suspect it had been sitting around slightly longer, which is tough to tell unless you study the codes on an NV. The 375ml was more lively and nuanced. The 750ml was a little flat on its feet. Neither disappointed. Looking forward to trying again.

Solid effort. Needs some time to open up. A little disjointed but with air comes together. Darker fruit and all things considered a good QPR wine.

Different in style from the Papera. This has a good deal more acidity and while it is a little closed at the moment seems to have everything needed for great long-term potential. Harmony and balance in a Sonoma Zin that one might expect to find in a classified Bordeaux (yes, I know the grape varietals / style are very different). This is a wine that deserves to be noticed and should be part of a tasting at a Michelin star restaurant if it isn't already.

Outstanding and very enjoyable wine that can be sipped (I hope) or gulped (it's just good juice). Crowd pleasing style. This is really nice.

This is a slightly bigger pinot with notable tannins on the lengthy finish. More dark ripe fruit but plenty of complexity and WS balance to make it all work. I really like the natural yeast fermentation approach in this wine and the representation and purity of place that brings to the wine. Excellent and age-worthy.

This wine is young and made from several different clones. It is a bit linear right now but shows lots of potential. More Burgundian in style showing the influence of a cooler microclimate on the fruit. From memory it seems to be a little more constrained than the 2018. Looking forward to seeing how this develops.

In a good spot right now for pop and pour. Loads of dark fruit, alcohol just noticeable but mostly masked, oak in background. Velvety soft tannins and big luscious Napa fruit. Would pair nicely with a steak but ok on its own. Prefer to 2008 but this may be my last of either vintage. This is in a fun to drink style and not a contemplation wine.

One of the better in the Bella line-up, which IMO has plenty of inconsistency in quality from one wine to the next. Stick to their Zins if you're into wine as they make Pinot like a Zin too. It is a great cute little winery with friendly folks however the marketing and price points make it difficult for me to get too enamored. Rockpile is a great vineyard and Bella does a nice job showcasing the fruit and depth of flavors. Great label too!

In a great place right now. Coravin'd and tried three times over four months with consistent notes. It's a beautiful wine with finesse and complexity and just the right amount of fruit. Better than expected even though I expect a lot when I open WS.

Great nose with floral and orchid notes and the most notable of the 2018 ME's I tried. The wine is still coming together and has a lot of potential.

Darker and fuller than the Sonoma Coast as one would expect. Equally well made.

This has always been my favorite wine from Merry Edwards and was again for 2018 in a line up of the wines. Classic. I think of ME as being more round lush in style without being over the top and still having the acidity and balance to show the depth of the wine. Not as precise in style or age-worthy perhaps as Williams Selyem but equally good in my mind. I opened a 2007 ME Olivet for comparison which showed how much the fruit changed to a darker more funky burgundy-like wine. It was good but shows if you like ME's bright fruit don't age this too long - 8 years may be ideal. I wasn't expecting the fruit on the 2007 to have aged as fast as it did (warmer vintage).

Not great. Perhaps fun to try once. While I understand the marketing angle, which Repris / Pangloss does extremely well, I think their subpar wines (Sauv Blanc) actually hurt the brand from an otherwise fun and decent winery.

They should stick to making Pinot and the Monte Rosso Cab, which was very well done. This was not well made and is a distraction from the otherwise decent wines.

Better on the second day as it took time for the fruit to come back alive. Suggest decanting. This is a big wine and can only imagine how ripe the fruit was a decade ago. While I had tried Pax then, I did not have the opportunity to taste this particular Pax at the time. Interesting history here...

Drinking nicely. Great Diamond Mountain fruit with the round lush character showing through an otherwise big cab with nice complexity. Oak is noticeable as a distinctive note in the background in a good way.

Better than the previous bottle a couple of years ago. Maintaining bright fruit with added complexity while remaining a simple somewhat easy going pinot. Soft tannins and mild acidity. Enjoyable. In a good spot.

Perhaps too much anticipation for this wine given the pedigree and price tag. I found it to be out of balance with alcohol showing through the ripe fruit. It is on the younger side and there is a lot of viscosity here. Maybe it will come together and shine next time around.

Took a chance acquiring this bottle at 44 years of age. Label damage but perfect fill and the cork came out with Ah-so opener perfectly. This was the first vintage of Jordan. Great showing and stunning for the age. Lengthy finish. Fruit holding on. Integrated and smooth tannins. Worth the risk if you like old wine. California history in a bottle.

Lacking aromatics and somewhat closed. Precise, mineral, saline, light melon. Not acidic but fresh and not tasting old. Expected a little more but not disappointed either.

Still a little young and lacking but has the parts. Will revisit in a few years. Perhaps expectations are a little high considering the producer.

Alcohol level is apparent at onset and fades over time. The bottle labeled at 15.6%. It is a big wine that is decadent and weighty. The backend is dominated by dark chocolate making it feel like desert. The front has darker fruits flavors. There are hints of earth and complexity. While it is not quite fully integrated yet it will be interested to see how this develops.

Agree with other notes. This is muscular leaning towards darker fruits. The bottle I had about a year ago was a little lighter on its feet. Good complexity, tannins, and minerals. Will hold remaining bottles to revisit in the future. Great producer. This does not disappoint.

With a little air this delivered way more than expected and seems to have years of life left. Great dark fruit that is a pleasure to drink with smoothness mid palate and a lengthy powerful finish where the tannins shine through. Paid $40 recently. Sticker on bottle for $25 retail when released.

Better with food than on its own. The fruit seems a touch underripe with vegetal and herbal notes on a finish that leans more austere. Would not have guessed this was from Sonoma.

Outstanding. Tried against Napa superstars and liked this one best. Darker fruit with the earthiness, balance, and complexity of a good BDX. Hope I get to try this one again!

Young. Needs time to develop. First time trying and opportunity to try against a host of Napa superstars. While a very solid effort don't agree with inflated 98WA score. This has the pedigree however there are bottles at 1/3 of the price that have been more memorable.

A special wine. From 750. Bronzed gold in color. Incredible balance. Fantastic! Initially a little funk and earthiness then dried apricot, honey, melon, citrus. Both mouth coating and mouth watering with a lengthy finish. This wine tasted amazingly fresh and young! Many years of life ahead.

I really like the bottle and the idea of a wine like this but unfortunately I think it is tough to make a table/jug Pinot. IMO Bella should keep its focus on Syrah and Zin and perhaps make a Ru's version of those grapes that are more suited to jug wine.

This wine has a lush mouthfeel and texture. It is a riper CA pinot and while it is well balanced, it lacks the acidity and complexity that when present can make Pinot from this region really special.

Already drinking exceptionally well. Lush RRV fruit showing off the softness of CA pinot but with great depth, balance and acidity. Well made and such a great reflection of why this region is special and can deliver without being the fruit bomb or unbalanced mess that so many in CA produce.

This wine has layers of fruit and complexity and is in the WS style of having precision, acidity, and finesse. In my opinion, the wine shows everything needed to become a great wine but it is not yet fully integrated. The front to mid are not in harmony with the finish. I think and hope this will come together in time. Looking forward to this 5+ years down the road and seeing it closer to a 95.

Solid QPR at closeout pricing. A little heat and unintegrated oak. It seems to need time to come together. Not super complex but good and perfect for casual occasions where you want to share a Napa Cab without the triple digit price tag.

I wanted to enjoy this wine and came back to it 3 times over a week with air pumped out of the bottle instead of pouring it down the drain. The most redeeming quality was that it held up over the week fairly well. This wine has a huge amount of in your face fruit and tasted overly ripe. It is disjointed and seemingly out of balance. If you like loads of ripe fruit with your candy bar this one will work for you. If you've ever had Grenache with power, finesse, and balance this will leave you disappointed.
