Monthly Tasting Group: Older CDP's and Northern Rhones (P.S. Steak, Mpls): Dark red color. Excellent cork. PNP, drank a glass plus over 2 hours. Now hitting the trifecta with this spectacular trio along with the '94 Beaucastel and '89 Les Cailloux. Holy cow, this takes everything even a half step further for me. The Pegau adds to the complexity with iron, iodine, earthy with the slightest sense of funk, perfumed, garrigue, red cherry and berries, my word this glorious. The palate takes the nose and expands on it, another seamless beauty with great Provencal character, minerals, pretty red fruits, satin texture, really layered, anise, hints of dill and mint, a bit savory with a little roasted meat, wow - this is balanced and has very polished tannins. While this is in a great place, I would surmise that well stored bottles might go another 10 years. Loved it 95+pts to 96pts.
