So glad I had held onto this one... bit hint of aging really. Just loads of cab/Shiraz goodness. Blended tannins were very smooth. Still bright fruit on nose, and finish is still minutes long.. great with grilled Tuscan pork tenderloin.

Actually... disappointed on this bottling. Previous 2009 KB Pinot/Russian River was awesome. This bottle lacked fruit. Smelled more of Olive and wet bark, with only a hint of fruit. Was hoping this would open up, but after two days, the fruit barley emerged. Definitely agree with comments on tasting more earthy. Well balanced, but lacking the Fruit and nuance of other KB Pinot's I've been fortunate enough to drink. Hoping this is a phase...

Nice color.. bubbles small count.. but this was dry and crisp. offered a lot of toast and light lemon tart. This is nice, but nothing spectacular. Have had American Sparklers from Calif and Oregon (Argyle) that offered a lot more for the coin. Still pleasant, and went quickly with appetizers on Christmas day.

12/31/13, 2:40 PM - @Slimes.. Piper was $47/USD @ a Trader Joes. Picked up on a whim, and was just looking for a good sparkler. Wasn't price comparing at the time of purchase. Cheers!
