Decanted and day 2/3 it really showed freshness and fruit/berries. Hint of dustiness.

Jay is quite spot on with his comment.

Surprisingly good. Beautiful color, red and dark fruits/berries. Pungent- and oriental spices. Seductive texture, with grip and it’s just quite lovely.

Long finish, minerality a sapidic.

Drinking terrifically well and expect it will continue to drink well for quite a while.

Had this 2015 close to 4 years ago, shortly before the world turned upside down - it’s still as terrific as then, perhaps even better. Started off shy and then just exploded, so good it almost hurts.

Crazy intensity and what a treat this wine is, and Venier delivers full on and shows just how great Pinot noir from Loire can be. It’s a bottle that should be in a blind tasting with Enderle & Moll and Labet.

The licorice candy from my childhood the give away?
Anyway, think wild strawberries, raspberries, citrus notes among other.

I didn’t take notes but seeing many not so great reviews here I thought I should give another reference point as my bottle was drinking very well.

Still fresh and primary notes, while at the same time the tannins have integrated a bit more since a bottle 4 years ago or so. The tannins remain bit chunky in a CC way and while appropriate food will show the wine from its best side, it is still enjoyable on its own.

This a great Redvolution, slightly more on the dark side (relative to German Pinot). Excellent depth and complexity with a long evolving finish.

With the structure that builds up (gentle but gains in volume), the darker fruit profile, licorice I shows resemblance to Chambertain.

Impressive.

No formal notes but this wine is drinking beautifully now. Wouldn’t say that it’s a drink now now wine though it’s pure delicious now. The fruit is lovely with all kind of red berries, think of strawberries and raspberries. Spices. Juicy acidity, and licorice with time and a long lovely finish.

Love to drink this again.

Pretty much the same impression as the previous bottle.

Citrus, pear, honey, herbal (amaro-ish), almond, loads of minerality and salinity. Incredible intensity in the wine which is both balanced and focused. Aftertaste going on for minutes.

Elegant and lovely wine that goes with most any food.

A beautiful amber Ribolla gialla, well balanced. Peaches, apricots, herbs, minerality, licorice in a lovely mélange and an acidic drive. Texturally a delight. A complex wine yet very drinkable, delight with food as well and ends with a long complex finish.

Tasted after decanting (bottle stood up for a month) and following the bottle over two nights.

Found this bottle to be uninspiring, felt prematurely tired in the way a simply old wine taste. Nothing much there in the fruit department.

No hopes for my last remaining bottle but intend to keep it for a few years to see how that bottle shows.

Unfortunately slightly corked, most present on the nose. However the quality and drive of the wine is great, so good that it somehow was a pleasure drinking the wine rather then pour it in the sink.

This was my fifth bottle of this wine (since release) and up till now I have been quite disappointed. This is the first bottle that really has shined - focused, good intensity and purity of flavors.

While other bottles have given up after the first night this powered through with no signs of giving up until the third night. Good length and finish, and while the Principiano LN (2018) drunk along side it was the better wine (to me), no denying that this was a good wine (finally).

One of the best LNs year in and out. I would love to tase it side by side with the discontinued La Coste from Principiano.

Strawberries, raspberries, cherries, licorice. This wine grows over time, gains more weight and structure, yet remains as drinkable as always.

I guess either to m my preference changing or how the wood imprint is showing I like this wine less than my note six years ago. Find the tannins from the wood to standing out to much, and I want to be clear that this is not related to the taste profile itself, it's the textural imprint.

That said, it's not a bad wine those who don't mind this aspect will be quite pleased with this wine now, no need to age it further in my view.

The bottle takes time to open up and do the nebbiolo resurrection act and move to younger and fresher notes in the glass and even more so on day two.
Red
Not much has changed since the last bottle - opinion from the previous note here stands.

Long story short - the oak has never integrated well and after 10 years and the level of oak I doubt it will.

Worth noting though that is that the wine otherwise is not tired. Would been interesting to try the wine with neutral larger (shorter?) oak treatment.
White - Off-dry
Impressive wine with weight and texture, tropical fruit, mandarins, lemon and a long finish with highlights of salinity and minerality.

What a Serralunga footprint this wine have. On reports that 2012 barolo is starting to drink well I thought I should check in on this bottle.

Drinking well, nonetheless with a bit of time the tannins expands plenty. It somehow remains pleasant but sweet mother of J. Another 3-5 years to rest won’t be a bad thing with the tannins in mind.

The rest holds up well and the wine is expressive with spices, cherries, raspberries, licorice, and so on.

Fresh acidity and a very long finish. Lots to like about this wine, my first Broglio.

A very good 2011, better than I would have expected without signs of the warm vintages.

No notes taken but it’s a very good wine and regret not getting a few more bottles.

Delicious now but for my taste I'd probably enjoy it more in 3-5 years, the structure is still on the rather tannic side, quite primary as well.

Good quality and a long finish.

The wine did not move much over the 3-4 days I drank the wine.

Oppose to the 2012 Inferno this bottle fortunately showed well.

Tomato/tomato leaves, gravel, perhaps a slight pepper-herbal thing (imagining it being mountain herbs but who knows) on the nose. Cherries in the background, and I mention this as it feels the primary flavors might be fading.

Same in the mouth with the addition of red plums, more pronuced dark and red cherries. Texturally this is sensual, yet still grippy grainy tannins.
A long pretty finish.

I am not sure what was going on with this bottle but there was something chemical-ish like in taste/aroma whiff that came through.

A shame as it was a nice bottle otherwise with darker plums and herbs on the nose.

Tannins grew with air and though it's moving towards a silkiness it retained some grippy tannins and had a long salivating finish.

Didn't take any notes but drank this over 2-3 nights (PnP).

A few more years will do the wine well, the tannic structure is still a bit rough, just started to get edges a bit polished. Mostly red fruit and berries spectra, good freshness and the components feels quite complete and once the tannins mellowed a bit more it will drink even better. A long finish.

The most beautiful amber color. This bottle is better than the previous.texturally intriguing and lovely. Licorice, herbal, apricot, floral, chalky, tight acidity yet ripe. Tannic grip.

One of the better aged Fruliano wines I have had. Love it and great with any good.

Drank this too late in the evening but a terrific wine. What really stood out and remained as a sensation was how sensual the wine was texturally.

Would have loved to taste this earlier on in the evening.

This is a very interesting wine and about time to leave some notes around after 3 bottles consumed over time.

It is a wine that is intense, contradicting, maybe even challenging (?).

Living, energetic and a very long finish. Despite the 16% alcohol it's hard to notice, it has such an ethereal feel to it. The texture is interesting, Silky yet somewhat gripping tannins, dancing on palette, super sapidity. Raspberries, strawberries, herbal notes together with a hint of (herbal) bitterness.

Extremely long finish..

Best served slightly chilled (initially also had a slight spritz to it).

Elbling in the hands of Uli is such a delicious wine, to the point that it becomes hard to comprehend how little of it is grown these days.

Have 2/3 left of the bottle and will try to remember to make some notes from drinking it over the next coming days.

My second and last bottle, unfortunately no time to follow this wine over a longer period but it's drinking very well, could imagine more nuances with more air and time.

No notes but this is drinking very well now.

Drinking really well at the moment with no sign of not continuing doing so for a longer period.

Didn't take any notes but I think it balanced out really well and is in great harmony. Everyone loved the wine and gone in an instance.

It's a very good wine with lots of pleasure and drinkability.

For the price 25 it's a good buy, though at the W-S prices +-Eur100: I honestly don't see the point in buying this wine.

Liked this more than 2018, more freshness and drive to it.

Gone fast (a sure sign of it being a good wine), nice sapidity, a mix between oxidative notes and freshness.

The color was surprisingly dark gold. Enjoyable wine though I had perhaps expected a bit more in terms of complexity and intensity. On the riper side of the fruit scale.

It's still a good wine.

Note: what struck me was that the wine started to fade by night two, I am used W-K wines rather starts moving up another gear. Maybe a slightly off bottle.

Such an enjoyable wine and one of the best Friesa wines out there.

Coffee, prune, raisin, some oxidation on the nose upon opening. Gravelly pouder tannins

In decanter. 24 hours later…

More cola notes.. with time that takes the backseat. Red fruits (mainly lingonberries and cranberries), spices, slightly silkiness. Acidity is still there. Slight bitterness and dusty old wine dusty tannins in the end.

Happy this bottle showed better than the previous one.

Cherries, raspberries, wild strawberries. Menthol, herbs, licorice, Asian spices. Tannins are silky yet a dusty graveliness to it. A long sapidic finish.

The silkiness of the tannins and perhaps a hint of leather together with the spices were the main things giving away that it’s a 25 year old wine.

What a Chianti Classico!
