This was drinking wonderfully after a 40 minute decant. Think the drinking window will carry through 2018. Subtle chocolate mid palate, good tannins, great mouthfeel.

This was the first bottle of Dusty Lane syrah that I have opened. It was elegant and well integrated. Drinking very nicely immediately upon opening and continuing to smooth out with a little time in glass. Highly recommend this wine.

The fruit on this wine is slightly subdued at this point. Everything was in good balance and there were some meaty notes, ala a French Syrah from the northern Rhone. No decanting needed. Would not hold a lot longer, but drinking nicely now.

More fizz than expected. The different varietals seems to be competing, rather than balancing one another. If this were what the Booker White had been like in previous vintages, I would not have ordered it. Typically, I love Booker White, so I consider this an aberration.

Color was almost an orange/hot pink. Still lots of fruit, acidity and a solid core of tannin. Not too much or too little. Amazing this wine held up so well for so long. Opened and poured, however, the fruit did not fade away as we drank the bottle. Super. Cork was soft-ish, but came out in one piece with the help of the Durand opener. If you do not have one and have the means, I highly recommend it for old corks.

This wine was decanted for 4 hours, then Vinturi'd back into the original bottle. Even with that it was a HUGE fruit bomb! This is an over-the-top wine that will likely saturate your palette, so drink this when you are not going to have another wine after it. Everything about this wine is big. It has a very long finish and is nicely integrated (after the decanting/waiting/Vinturi'ing). Highly recommend this wine!

We popped and poured this wine with some nice KC Strip Steaks and it was quite lovely. I would not hold this much longer, as I think it is at its peak or slowly on decline. I also would not decant, as the wine is nicely balanced with integrated tannins.

The color was a pale red, bordering on orange, but still had fruit and some tannins after 50 years. Tasted delicious, with a complexity and balance I would never have expected from such an elderly specimen. Would happily drink more, if I can find any. Simply the perfect wine to celebrate my 50th with good friends.
