This wine is drinking great right now with lemon oil, firm acidity, and lingering minerality. It showed much rounder on Day 2. A fantastic value.

A beautifully balanced Cab that seems to be at/near peak right now.

This wine needed 2-3 hours to really open up and shine. It displayed an excellent balance of weight, fruit, acidity, and secondary characteristics. I wish that I had purchased a couple more bottles as I believe this still has 2-3 more good years ahead.

I've always enjoyed this wine. This bottle showed citrus, wet stone, fresh-cut grass, paraffin, and spearmint. The acidity is vibrant and refeshing. My only complaint is that it is a bit thin, but otherwise a very nice wine; especially with food.

A very nice syrah displaying smoked meat, dark fruit, and pepper; medium acidity; the tannins are mostly intergrated. I don't see much improvement so drink up and enjoy.

A beautiful red color; raspberry, red plum, clove, and cinnamon on the nose; very nice (velvety) mouthfeel with perfect acidity; the tannins are mostly integrated; the juicy, lingering finish keeps you coming back for more. An excellent Oregon PN that should continue to evolve nicely over the next 2-3 years.

This wine showed beautifully on Thanksgiving day. Hazelnut and pear notes followed through to lime, citrus, and green apple. The acidity really shines and keeps the wine focused. The finish is juicy, lingering, and delicious. I believe that this wine will continue to evolve over the next 2-3 years. I look forward to trying it again down the road.

Still drinking very well; however, it wasn't as concentrated as the bottle I had last year. Still exhibiting a beautiful golden color; stone fruits; oily/waxy component; ample acidity; nice weight; and a medium finish. I would drink this wine sooner than later.

A monster of a wine; exhibiting big, dark fruit, sweet tannins, chocolate, oak, and a hint of tobacco. This really should accompany a grilled steak, or similarly robust cuisine. Give this wine 3-5 more years and it will be exquisite.

This bottle showed better than the one I had 15 months ago. It seems to have rounded out quite a bit, and may be in its ideal drinking window. The profile is about what one would expect from this wine: medium-gold color; tropical fruits and buttery oak; medium body and acidity; moderate finish. I would recommend drinking it with food.

This was my first Ramey Hyde and it did not disappoint. I believe that it is a balanced wine with ripe fruit and buttery/oak notes, but possesses a firm acidic backbone which carries everything through to an excellent finish.

This is a beautiful champagne; exihibiting roasted nuts, wonderful fruit, acidity, creaminess, and an excellent finish. However, it is still very young at this point. I will hold my other bottle for another 5+ years.

I was able to procure this for an outstanding price and it far exceeded my expectations. Beautiful yellow-gold color; fine beads; tropical fruit, apple, sweet bread, and chalk on the nose; lush fruit, lime, and excellent acidity on the palate; long, luscious finish. We enjoyed this with edamame and sushi. Plenty of life ahead for this wine.

This bottle showed very well. A dark purple color in the glass; a touch of heat; dark, bright fruit, some tobacco, and earth; very nice weight on the palate; tannins have started to integrate very well; medium-long finish. I believe that this will continue to improve over the next 2-3 years, and should drink well for another 5-6 years.

Double-decanted and left in the bottle for 3+ hours (with cork replaced); very dark color; dark fruits, some spice, oak, and dark tobacco; big and balanced on the palate; tannins mostly resolved; big, delicious finish. A monster of a wine, but a pleasure to drink. Drink with a decant or hold for 2-3 more years.

Decanted for two hours. Dark purple color; nose of dark fruit, loamy earth, and sweet tobacco; more dark fruit on the palate with sweet, firm tannins; there is noticeable oak (vanilla) and a touch of heat on the medium finish, but neither is overpowering. Enjoyed this with a 1.5" thick grilled ribeye. I think this wine is now entering its drinking window and should improve slightly over the next 1-2 years.

This was an excellent Chardonnay. I thought that it balanced a New World style with a nice acidic backbone. Big, tropical fruits; medium-to-full-bodied on the palate; medium-long finish. Very well done.

At this price-point, this was one of the most balanced bottles of Malbec I've had. Dark purple color; dark fruit, stone, bramble, and mocha on the nose; medium- to full-bodied and nicely balanced on the palate; ample tannins on the medium finish. This bottle definitely says, Mendoza, from start to finish, and only 13.5% alcohol. Drink now or continue to hold over short-medium term. A great BBQ wine.

My neighbor's annual wine party seemed like a good time to pop my first bottle.

A nose of sweet blue and purple fruits; a touch of smoke; strong coconut and vanilla notes; not much, if any, heat from the alcohol; nice weight and balance on the palate with good acidity and delicious fruit; the finish lingered nicely and the tannins suggested that this wine has some stuffing to drink well for 2-3 more years. However, I don't believe that this wine will improve much, if at all.

I double-decanted a bottle on Saturday night, but half a bottle remained after multiple other bottles, and a pending 2007 Dow's VP.

I grilled a NY strip tonight and, four days later, this wine was in a great place. Classic dark Napa fruit, spice, herbal notes, and chocolate; elegant mouth-feel with sweet tannins; medium, mouth-coating finish. A fantastic wine for the price. A special thanks to dannyk for helping me procure a few bottles of this wine.

Opened and poured right away, but it was very tight. The following night it revealed much more fruit and earth on the nose; medium-bodied on the palate with a good acidic backbone; the finish was short-medium. I would recommend holding for another year, or open and decant for a couple of hours.

This was the third consecutive vintage of this wine that I have tried, and, to me, the most balanced. Medium-gold color; tropical fruits, apple, spice, stone, vanilla, and buttery oak on the nose; excellent weight on the palate, with nice fruit and the right amount of acidity; medium finish. The alcohol seems to have integrated at this point, so no unpleasantness there. Drink now.

Much better than previous bottles. Red and dark berries and leather; bright fruit and medium acidity; clean; the finish is decent, but not great. There was no overwhelming oak - as in previous bottles. This seems to be rounding out a bit and should drink well in the short-medium term.

A very nice showing for this wine. The nose had loads of fresh-cut grass and pine needles, with the citrus in the background; crisp, clean, and refreshing on the palate; good finish. It was a nice accompaniment to prosciutto and provolone.

In its current state, this wine does not show much complexity. The nose offers red and black cherry with hints of wood and chocolate; the palate has nice weight with the fruit notes repeating and ample acidity; the finish is medium in length with firm tannins. The fruit is very solid and suggests that this wine should age well over the short-medium term. For the price, this is a solid go-to wine for guests and meals. I will definitely pick up a few more bottles.

Pristine cork with zero seepage. Did not decant. I had been saving this bottle to enjoy with BBQ and it did not disapoint. Purple and red fruits, no offensive oak or alcohol, some spice, chocolate, and a hint of dark tobacco. Very smooth on the palate with sweet, integrated tannins, currant, and a touch of acidity. The finish was pleasant with the fruit, tannins, and some mocha notes. Very balanced for this varietal and fantastic quality for the price.

This was my first Latour and, without a doubt, was the finest wine I have ever tasted. The nose suggested perfect structure, the palate suggested balance and elegance, and the finish suggested power. I have never tasted a wine with such undeniable pedigree. I don't know what a perfect wine tastes like, but, for me, this is as close as it gets. This will age gracefully for many, many years.

Decanted for 2-3 hours. This wine was very masculine in style. Dark fruit, some balsamic, licorice, and mild cedar on the nose; much more interesting on the palate; big tannins; the finish was very nice with some of the initial notes repeating themselves. I allowed this to sit in my glass for over an hour and enjoyed it with dinner - a prime ribeye. It worked very well with the food. I would like to re-visit in five years, however, I would be somewhat concerned about the fruit outlasting the tannins.
