Absolutely delicious! Golden, clear color. Aromas and taste of apple, nuts - almond, honey, and crème brulee. Very long finish.
The late disgorged means it undergoes a second fermentation in bottle, then aged for over 10 years on its yeast lees. Made like Dom P2; this - to me - is even better as its a blanc de blanc. 100% Chardonnay; 12.5% alcohol. Had with lobster bisque - great pairing. Would be great by itself.

Intensely fragrant and so smooth with finish that goes on and on.

Wow - fantastic!! So smooth and delicious!! The wine spectator top pinot of 2018 is no fluke. 2016 is drinking fantastic now. This was 'best block' and I can't imagine a better one. Silky and polished, with delicately layered raspberry and strawberry flavors, taking on black tea & clove accents. Winemaker Bryan Weil's & the winemaking team at Alexana is absolutely crushing it! Congrats!

Absolutely fantastic. Smooth and long finish. Plum, blackberry and black cherry, with very light herbal and floral notes, including violet and lavender, as well as vanilla and hazelnut. Dry and full-bodied with high tannin, bold fruit and medium-plus acidity. Just drinking great now and, I think, tons of life left - another 15 years probably. This bottled was well cellared.

Still drinking fantastic. So smooth - pure silk - and an extra long finish, maybe the longest I've ever had. Definitely full body - although not syrup. Pure concentrated fruit flavor; round mouthfeel of apricot, honey and mild lemon curd and with a subtle vanilla and cedar aromas. Who knew California Chardonnay could taste like the great d'Yquem. I was worried about the very short cork in the bottle - it was still fully intact and fine (bottle was properly stored).

Fantastic merlot blend (88% merlot from Stagecoach and Cypress vineyards with 10% Monte Rosso vineyard petit verdot and 2% cab franc - aged in french oak, 79% new). Gave a good decant. So smooth and absolutely delicious. It will blow your face off (see label).
Fun tasting with the 'Double' 100% merlot - this was the clear winner (3 for 3 with me, wife and mother-in-law). Of course Dave's blend was better - he's a master! And, Dave is certainly helping Merlot's undeserved PR problem. Glad I bought 3 bottles of each.

Cracked one open as its an '07 - lots of life left. Tasted and decanted, which smoothed out nicely. Drinking really good - great fruit that turns to lite spice and earth later on palate. Have some reserve that now I can't wait to try.

Winery did not make 'Fallen Feather' in 2015 vintage - skipped it - there's a 2014 and 2016. Also, there is a 2015 Three Twins Vineyards, its just not Fallen Feather.

Excellent wine. Beautiful color - almost slightly translucent lavender - with smells and taste, to me, of blackberry and cherry fruit, along with classic KB mild smoke and cola. For early stage, fairly soft tannins. Smooth, long finish.

Bright gold and clear look. Smells fantastic - still very fresh. Taste, to me, of citrus, apricot, cashew nuts, very lite honey. So smooth and creamy. Very delicate, elegant bubbles that are now very mellow. Finish goes on for well over a minute. Just fantastic aged Champagne!

Very good cab. Opened to compare to 1995 cab. Decanted for ~2 hours; still very big tannins. Very good fruit. Comparison to 1995 Cakebread cab says hold this another ~15-25 years...

Very good wine that is drinking excellent right now. Much better than the bottle I had ~5 years ago (4-5 points higher). Extremely smooth now with excellent flavors of berries - blackberries, raspberries and even black cherries - and hints of vanilla.

Delicious. New world fruit in an old world - Burgundy - style. Fantastic mouth feel that is rich and creamy as well as very elegant. Flavors of green apple, lemon, mellon, honey and even some orange & pineapple for me. Very long, smooth finish.

This is a great wine & still drinking great (in cellar entire life). Lots of berry jamminess with spice and slight vanilla (from aging on American Oak, I believe), extremely smooth and long finish.

Fruit is mellowing -- still pear, apple, and citrus. I do drink a little cooler in the summer, 45-50 versus 55 degrees -- which mellows fruit.
Lots of mineral notes. Oak mellow. Obsolutely excellent structure. Still extremely creamy in mouth and very smooth finish.

Big and delicious! Very good petite sirah -- classic dark, inky, purple in color. Needs air. Fruits of prune, blackberry, and cassis; plus black pepper and some subtle licorice and spice. Full body, smooth mouth feel and medium finish.

Great california blend -- Syrah (I'm guessing a lot -- perhaps the most, not just blended in), Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Still drinking very well -- balanced with supple tannins, although unlikely to improve more. Taste of dark red fruit of plum, currant and black cherry, with very light wood and earth tones. Very smooth, medium length, finish.

I popped as dates said past prime -- not so; likely 5 years left. Very good wine & drinking excellent -- tannins mellowing although still present. Dark purple with dirt tones in color. Taste of earth with black currant fruit. Classic 'right bank' french Bordeaux (75% merlot; 25% cab).

Very good Rhone blend. Not rated as 375ml (1/2 bottle) was mature, maybe even just past prime as fruit was mellow … drink 'em up.

Very good wine. PnP to get those KB smokey initial flavors. Medium/light red color and light body. Strawberry, raspberry & cherry ripe fruit smells and flavors, with some subtle cola, herbs and granite. Food friendly with high acidity. Low tannins on medium-long, smooth finish.

Seriously great wine. Crimson red colored. It smells & taste like raspberry, red currant, strawberry, cherry, plum and pomegranate fruits; with supple mineral, earthy notes. The body is medium (but big for a pinot). The wine has rich, silky, round texture, with a finish that goes on a very long time.

Fantastic wine. Looks great in the glass, smells great, feels great in your mouth. Big and smooth fresh fruit flavors -- for me apricot and blood orange citrus -- along with mineral characteristics. Finish just goes on forever. Don't serve too cold -- best in my view from 55-60 degrees Fahrenheit.

Delicious sparkling wine! And how often can you try Trousseau -- I found it very creamy and fruity (lemon, sweet apple - not tart, pineapple flavors), with a round, soft, smooth finish. Very good on a hot day, and 11% alcohol.

Very good wine. Smooth, fruity & crisp with round finish. Perfect amount of oak for me in Chardonnay. Nice acidity -- could drink on its own or with food. Medium body -- not a huge wine although definitely not a light weight. Just a very well made, excellent wine that made our evening so enjoyable!

89% Zin & 11% "mixed blacks". Medium-dark to dark ruby-red. Powerful, penetrating aromas of black raspberry, blood orange, bay leaf, and earth emerge from the glass. Very concentrated and palate-coating. Mike Officer calls a “grand cru” Zinfandel & I'm not going to argue with his brilliance!
