fom a .375. crushed red grape and plum nose. smooth middle with a sweet finish and a dark fruit aftertaste. faded after thirty minutes. score is for the first 30 minutes. excellent with pork ribs.

beautiful floral nose. good transition to a long finish. on the light side. but as others noted this is the producer style. love to see this in a decade.

well aged ,mature wines can be intriguing. lemon nose. long middle. a little petrol finish. dry even for kabinett. love the low alcohol. some solids. suggest a decant... the cork did break. mosel would always have been a choice for a desert island.

aromatic nose. smooth middle with an elegant vanilla finish. after 2 hours it started to fade. green(cab franc like) middle and a harsh finish. day 2 with repour was flat but drinkable. drink now. rating is for first 2 hours.

agree with some of deetz comments. smokey. very cab like. but i do not not think there are other grapes than pinot noir. have had this style of pinot from california and also thought it a blend of many grapes. but not so.

admit i am new to burgundy. darker and more earthy than california pinot. wine is different than last tasting 5 months ago, although still not much nose. dark cherry middle. no greenwood as previously. soy and earthiness on the medium finish.. this cannot but improve with age. drink some. store some. a decent year with some variation in burgundy. considered a good vintage for this santenay. the quiche and green beens seemed to fit. perhaps a "cellar defender" to drink as better wines mature.

day one there was little if any nose and had earthy middle with berry finish. seemed flat. day 2 with repour. still little nose. but better balance with the earthiness gone. smooth finish. decent QPR.

popped and poured. best for the first hour. sweet attack. very smooth. nice balance with a little bit of acidity, which seem to fade after an hour. 89 for the first hour. will see how this holds up 24 hours later with repour. first impression is to drink immediately.

agree with slightly spicy with good acidity. sharp cheese seems to fit well. with cote du rhone the vintage is critical. a very good one for the region. the grenache really stands out. good q.p.r. buying 12 bottles is not a bad idea.
