The wine looks ruby colored. Transparent. There is no sediment in the bottle.

It smells like raspberry and eucalyptus at first, more fig and chocolate with some air. Violets? Maybe. Much more potential on the nose than the taste delivers.

Medium bodied, but tastes like watery fig and raspberry juice. High acid, so provides a "juicy" sensation. Not much flavor on the palate and very short finish.

Not familiar with Tinta Francisca varietal and glad that I tried it, but would not buy again, especially for the price.

Black cherries and plum when first opened. After 20 minutes in glass, flavors of cranberry were more apparent. Same on the palate plus tea leaves. Medium body, medium finish. Great price!

Lovely wine. Tastes almost like a Cab.

Dusty/chalky, fleshy dark fruits, blackberry, blueberry, dark cherry. Binh gets a hint of prune.

Rich and fairly tannic for a Zin. Good structure. My preferred style for Zins. A little hot on initial taste, but alcohol subsides.

Slaps you across the face with funk/brett/barnyard. Meaty and smokey. Rich on the palate. Red fruit starts to show after 30 minutes. Very interesting and enjoyable by itself. Not sure what I'd be able to pair with.

Had with dinner with friends. More drinking than tasting. Decanted for 30 minutes. Continued to evolve in glass over 2 hours. Went very well with Jessica's 28 Dry aged sirloin w/ chanterelles and pan sauce.

Very nice complex nose. Sniffed forever before I drank: dark berries, mocha, woodsy.
Less fruit on the palate. Full bodied. Fine tannins.
Surprisingly long finish.

.5 hour decant. Dark fruit, cocoa, cedar. Fine tannins, but not well integrated yet. Has great potential, but needs more time in the cellar. Started to open up at the end of the night (after 3 hours). Need to buy another few bottles and hold for at least 5 years.
