This wine is off-dry. The vintner recommends decanting, and at this point in its life, I would agree. Served cold it is obnoxiously cloying. At room temperature (and decanted for an hour) it balances out and gets more interesting. Tight nose of faint orange blossom. Taste is honey, apples, and a trace of grapefruit and alcohol on the back end. Short finish. Leaves a sticky residue on the lips. Too sweet and insuffficient acid to serve with a meal, but probably pairs acceptably with heavier blue cheeses. Poor QPR. Will revisit in a few years.

Very aromatic - rose petals, lavender, coriander and orange peel; aromatics may have interfered a bit with palate; smooth on the tongue; bigger than expected and got bigger with air; subtle leather and bitter earth on the back palate

Color of light golden honey. Nose is grapefruit and/or pineapple, but also wet rock-ish. Flavor of grapefruit , solid mid-palate that lasts quite long , faint sweetness/chalkiness on the back palate. Smells like a SB, and the the taste is crisp but not as acidic sharp as I usually get with SB. This is probably best with food, but would need very delicate or mild food to compete, such as Malpeques on the half shell.

Nice, pleasant, fruity. A little acidic tartness, consistent with the style. Very versatile: tasted pleasant immediately upon opening, again after an hour of decanting, and even a day later.

Upon opening had a smell of plums and bread. Decanted about an hour. Smell was earthy, minerally, sweat socky. Taste was black fruit and tannin, with tannin winning the struggle at the finish. This is a pleasant alternative to a fruit bomb, although I suspect that its age helped with that somewhat.
