First Ridge Cab.

Smell of flowers and fine black tea and currants is my first impression.

Mouth full of tobacco, currants and black tea.

Someone else mentioned flabby, yes I would say that this wine comes off this way.

2017 Bedrock Wine Co. Heritage Wine Evangelho Vineyard Contra Costa County Zinfandel Blend, Zinfandel
I'm unsure what varietals are blended here, but they go together well. I really like this wine. I have enjoyed most every bedrock wine I have tried. For $35 I would buy again. Now, if I could only remember where I bought it.

An alright wine - nothing to write home about. It might be that I'm not a big fan of this grape and maybe don't understand it. Nose subdued, soft, round a bit like a melon that is not ready to eat. Not a lot of fruit, nuance of wax.
Drinking over an hour, air did not really change the wine at all. Minerals, not dry, not sweet, not fruity, ocean spray saline, distilled water, I'd imagine the vines grew on kind of dead soil/rocks. I will not fill me next allocation from Rhys with this one. This grape is just not for me. Not bad - just not a wine I can even describe or say something I liked or didn't like.

This is a tremendous wine. Gorgeous crimson with virtually no bricking in the glass. It's in a great spot, with solid Cabernet characteristics, still juicy and maintaining a zippy acidity, but with the tertiary forest floor and mushroom notes as well. This was a tremendous wine, glad I have another bottle.
