Pleasant and also a bit dull. For certain no need to keep this any longer.

I think that the description "Napa meets Burgenland" used by another taster ist appropriate. Fruity and borderline sweet, melted tannins. Still felt very young.

Brought to a restaurant for my wife's 40th birthday. Based on the comments, served PnP.
At first totally muted, but quickly evolved into a stunning mature Bordeaux with a beautiful mid-palate and a long finish. The color was also strikingly youthful even though the wine has clearly hit its final plateau.
As noted, this is a truly great wine for the price. I would also tend to agree that it should be drunk sooner than later.

Enjoyable if somewhat anonymous bdx blend. Got more interesting on day 2 so I guess its better days are ahead.

Okay as an everyday drinker but should be had with food. If it were from Burgundy, you'd pay twice the price.
For me the bitter note at the end was somewhat detrimental.

Very smooth and enjoyable. Definitely in its prime drinking window

Complex wine and nothing of a blockbuster. I opened the bottle 30 minutes before drinking and it was a bit subdued at first but gotter better (and longer) with time and air.
Definitely drinking well now. I would suggest opening at least one hour before drinking or giving a short decant.

World-class, complex merlot. Incredible sensation on the palate.
Eternal regrets for not buying the 2015 and 2016 vintages when these were widely available for 50-60 CHF per bottle.

The cork fell in the bottle as I was trying to remove it with a bilame corkscrew. Surprisingly youthful color and a very attractive old Bordeaux nose.
On the palate typical aromas of leather and pencil lead and a relatively short finish with no noticeable tanins.
As others have noted, this wine is at the end of its drinking window and should be drunk in the next few years.

My second Mouton after a bottle of the 1981 vintage.
Bottle bought at an auction a couple of months ago and opened 30 minutes before drinking (no decant). The cork was entirely soaked.
Very ethereal and complex medium-bodied wine. Very Pauillac.
Now, would I think this is a great wine if it wasn't Mouton Rothschild? I mean, I had other 1989s Pauillac (PLC, Duhart Milon) that were in my mind as interesting as this. But perhaps my palate is not distinguished enough to appreciate all the subtelties of a wine of such pedigree.

Others have described the wine better than I could.
This is bold and refined at the same time and totally enjoyable right now.

Second bottle from this producer after a Fortuna Vineyard 2015 drunk a couple of years ago.
To me, these were very similar wines with black fruit and high ABV. Almost a caricature of Napa Cabs, even though I get that this kind of wine can be attractive.

Bought at an auction for around 20 CHF. The ullage was mid-shoulder and the cork disintegrated upon opening so my expectations were not high.
To my surprise, the wine was drinkable with nice aromas of meat that reminded me of a Syrah from Northern Rhone. The palate was fulfilling and the finish long. The wine faded a bit after one hour though.

At first very closed and then developed nicely in the glass with Priorat typicity (blackberry, liquorice). It remained rather lean on the palate, however. I am not entirely convinced but will revisit in 5 years.

Opened 30 minutes before drinking to let the funk/barnyard notes dissipate.
Lovely and lively color, satisfying palate and long finish. This was a delicious mature Burgundy that can probably last 5-10 more years at its current peak. A real steal for the 20 CHF I paid.

Third experience with Saxum (after G2 2016 and Broken Stones 2016). The first two wines had left me rather underwhelmed as I was put off by their syrupy character for lack of a better description.
This was something else. The wine managed to be bold without being jammy. Alcohol level is high but well-managed. Excellent wine and I think I may try to get some 2019s.

A cosy evening with family: At first a bit jammy, but it dissipated quickly. Superb wine really with some Burgundian accents (a guest noted it reminded him of a Vosne-Romanée).
Good to drink now, but I am sure it will develop nicely with time. Next bottle in five years if I can wait that long.

A cosy evening with family: I bought this bottle in a pristine state a couple of months ago for 55 CHF.
Opened 45 minutes before drinking. Very youthful with a pure, mouth coating expression of fruit. One of the guests identified aromas of liquorice as time went by. Long finish.
Beautiful wine and a guests' favorite. Wish I had bought more bottles.

Great nose of mature Bordeaux. On the palate, all in balance with earthy notes and a long finish. Unfortunately the wine felt a bit hollow in midpalate. Very good, but not great.

Overall, a wine I'm glad I have tried and that I won't buy again.

Got this at an auction for less than 20 CHF. Drank over 2 days.
On the first day a bit muted at first but got better with air with notes of caramel (!?). On day 2, tertiary notes started to appear, which didn't fit the wine well.

That said, I don't see the point of putting money in such a wine at this stage in its life.

Very dark, opaque ruby color.

Quintessential Syrah with beautiful notes of tapenade and smoked meat. Alcohol not really noticeable.

Very good now and I don't see much potential for improvement. And also: try to drink in one go as the wine was not enjoyable on day 2.

The two previous notes describe the experience associated with drinking this wine better than I would ever do.

This is really of those of wines that put a smile on your face and make you think "that's why we drink wine".

In a excellent phase now and am not sure it can improve much.

Big disappointment with this one. Totally disjointed on day 1. Didn't get better after one night in the fridge.

I usually love the Q/P ratio of Italian wines in this point range but this one did not make the cut. Perhaps it was too young.

My first impression was that the wine was very rustic with marked barnyard notes that went away after a while. Rather lean on the palate with a decent finish.
In a good place now, but can still evolve. Make sure you open your bottle early enough or give the wine a good decant.
