Every time I open a Keplinger I ask myself, "why am I not buying more of this"? So well made. Blue fruits, polished tannins, a touch of citrus, just the right amount of savory. A great Syrah.

First of three bottles, Mothers Day, 2023
Stood up in the cellar for 2 hours
Popped the cork, slow ox for 2 hours
Decant for 2 hours

Dark fruits, medium to full-bodied, seamless, superfine tannins. In a great spot. Thoroughly enjoyed with a prime filet.

Ps call your mom, don't text!

Bora Bora 2023 trip. 2hr slow ox, muted, medium body. This bottle lacked complexity. Totally outshone by the 03 Spottswoode that followed.

Gave my first bottle a 92 after pop and pour. Second bottle was much better after a 6 hour slow ox, call it 93+.

Still vegetal, fruit totally overwhelmed by off-flavors. For a 2018, pretty disappointing.

Maybe there's some bottle variation going on as this one was much better than my previous bottle. 30 minutes decant. Less tannic, better integrated. 94 points

Easter 2022 wine with family. In a lineup vs 2012 M. Etain and 2009 Realm To-Kalon this came in last but in no way was a disappointment. One more in the cellar, don't see this improving with more time.

Got a case online somewhere for $20 USD per. At that price point, it's a solid value. Well made if not very complex, a pretty good daily drinker.

Nice complexity, well made but a little too much oak on the nose for my preference.
The wine looks inky colored. The legs are slow. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like oak. It tastes like blueberry and blackberry. The body is full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Opaque in color, concentrated and tannic. Promising but needs a couple of years in the bottle to better integrate. Will try again after 2023.

Great bottle. Black fruits, nice balance, great minerality...and great value from Booker. If this was Napa and not Paso Robles it would cost 5x what it does.

I love the Big Pour. Never too serious but still delivers the goods. Dark fruit aromas, red fruits on the pallete, well integrated tannins. It might get a little better with some age but this is a wine to drink now.
