Very surprising. Easy, nicely balanced drink. Amazing for 6.99.

Decanted for 2 hours, really allowed this to show it’s best qualities. Great wine, especially at the price point.

A bit acidic on first taste, then opened up nicely. After 2 hours or so it seemed to fade a bit, would recommend drinking now.

Tart and acidic. Tried giving it some air, left it for a second night, still the same. Maybe a bad bottle, will give it another try, but not up to expectatios so far.

Nice light red with good fruit and some depth that yo7 normally don’t find at $7.99. Definitely worth buying at that price.

I aerated this but it really needed tobe decanted. Saved a glass for the next day and there was a big difference, which accounts for my score. If I had more I’d wait another few years or decant 2-3 hours, still very young.

After drinking 2 bottles I think this needs to stay in the cellar for another year or more, too young imho.

I was a bit apprehensive about this one as the window said it was early, but I do not have perfect storage so my wine tends to age a bit faster. I shouldn’t have worried. Outstanding wine. I only decanted for about 45 mins at home, then took it to a restaurant and had it decanted again. Color, nose were wonderful, and the first sip was great but there was a little funk on the finish. After just a few more mins of air in the glass though it was all good, and really just got better and better, especially when the bolognese arrived:). Perfectly fine to drink this now but should probably decant for 1-2 hours (or double decant). I have another bottle I will hold, no more worries about this wine!

This has seen its better days. Tried to get through it but ended up pouring most of it out. My cellar conditions are not perfect so that could be a factor, but suggest if you have any of this that you open now.

Drinking ok, fruit seems to weaken after being open awhile. Left a little for night 2 and that was very noticeable. I think this needs to be consumed now...

My 5th bottle of 6 purchased. Delicious. Great finish, with strong berry taste. Hope I can get some more of this!

The ‘18 version is not stacking up to earlier years. This has been a great value for a few years at 12.99 from Costco but this vintage is tasting more like it’s price than previous ones.

Past it’s prime. First glass exhibited bright fruit and was nicely balanced, but the fruit soon died and it showed more tartness with a short finish. Should have consumed earlier...

If you like a jammy zin this is it, and at a great price point. Feels a bit alcoholic, although I couldn’t see the % on the bottle...

Showing its age a bit, but still an excellent cabernet, especially with a steak. Good fruit, not as bold due to age, but a nice finish including some Rutherford Dust. I poured a little through an aerator to test, better so I then poured straight into a decanter and let sit for an hour or so.

Hadn’t had any of this for awhile, almost forgot how good it was. Tremendous value at $12. Deep purple color, beautiful balance on the palate, long finish. Gotta buy some more!

I was very excited to pick this up as I don’t see a lot of this blend, and have always been a fan - as well as a straight Negro Amaro. Opened one, extremely disappointed. Lighter in color that normal for this type, sharp, acidic, no finish. Tried to drink but could not. Opened a second one the same night, same. What was interesting was there was no sign of wine on the cork - and for a 10 year old bottle that struck me as very strange. Started to think they were stored standing up and all were bad. Revisited both bottles the 2nd night - same. Poured the rest of the first one out, then before doing the same with the second one I thought I’d try it through the Vinturi. I normally am pretty careful about using that on older wines, especially if they are not the more expensive bottles. Saved! I thought I had a wasted case but Vinturi made this a very different and much more enjoyable wine. I’m looking forward to revisiting it with the Vinturi and a decanter and post another review...solid 88 for now. Update on April 20th - same. 88. Think it is best to wait a while and see how this develops.

Great value at 10.99. On the jammy side of the Zin spectrum so if your Zin taste runs to that side you will enjoy.

By itself this did not show much - fairly flat, uninteresting. However, we paired it with coq au vin and it was a different wine! The fruit came alive, and it provided a very nicely balanced drink. I then tried it with a little Irish cheddar and it tasted even better. Moral of the story? Needs food.

Great nose, color was tinted brown a bit, first taste was old world, dirt...then after 10-15 in the glass the fruit came alive. Drank beautifully, well balanced, a bit lighter than the younger bottles we had at the same sitting but certainly delicious. Drink up if you have!
