Bought from Morrell earlier this summer. Bottle looked good but DOA/oxidized.

This is built for the next decades with huge structure. It was a bit overpowering at the end of the night especially after 90 RSV. But no doubt about it this is exceptionally built. I would be very excited if I had this in my cellar.

Absolutely dreamy nose full of perfect, ripe red fruit. As good of a burgundy nose that I've smelled all year. Balanced, fresh, this has such a great life ahead of it.

Fantastic after about 30 minutes in the glass. A tiny bit of whiskey barrel and toffee with great freshness and balance.

Decanted. Big exotic nose with apricots and exotic fruits but palette grew more disappointing over time. There wasn't enough acid to balance the wine. Past its prime or flawed?

The 95 BM was full of deep red fruit, near-perfect balance, depth, and a long finish. In a night with several very solid wines, this is the wine I still thought about the next day.

The Ducs was delicious, strong, structured, full of ripe red fruit. Drank from a friend's cellar. Excited to open my bottles in 5 years.

Very light and delicate with a backbone of rocks and light lime. Required focus and attention. Could easily become forgotten with larger wines around it. Beautiful structure, taste, precision, balance.

Beautiful burgundy, light red. Dark red fruits on the nose. Balance, structure, more ripe red fruit on the palette. Deep, complicated but present, alive, and very enjoyable wine.

This is nice cabernet franc discovered via Fass Selections. On the nose, I get the classic bell peppers and forest. The wine is clean, well-made, balanced with a long finish.

Really nice wine, full of elegance. Great deep color showing the hues of aged burg. Brooklyn Fare, great meal and this was clear wine of the night.

Still some of the toffee and almond notes from previous bottles, but overall, a bit disappointing with a medium-short finish and without roundness.

Great nose after pouring. If this was served blind to me, I definitely would have put this in a much higher price category. Great acidity, balance, crisp fruit. I'm looking forward to trying again soon.

Very impressive bordeaux value from Fass Selections. Nicely balanced, accompanied food well.

This is flat-out great wine in addition to being an extraordinary value. Thanks to Fass Selections for discovering this wine. I can't wait to learn more about this exciting producer.

I can't think of a better rose I had this summer. The first bottle I had was nice, maybe a bit lean. The second bottle, a couple of months later, showed more fruit and was warm, approachable, and a perfect early fall dinner wine.

Some heavy spritz on opening that takes about 1.5 hours to settle down. A bit of a muddy palate with a few interesting notes showing depth underneath.

I had no idea about the estate during the 90s, but it seems like it was pretty disappointing. I expected more and instead received a very simple wine lacking any elegance.

Crimson with lots of beef jerky, soy sauce, iron, steak blood but ultimately disappointing finish with some maderization and little length.

This is in a pretty good place right now. Had it next to a recent-vintage Nikholaif Gruner, and the Ruinart won on all counts: precision, minerality, and balance.

Beautiful bottle at Le Bernardin. This is solid and strong Beze still full of small, ripe, red fruits and a great, lasting finish.

Some nice elements with freshness on the mid-palate but not enough there to score.

Very nice high-toned fruits like raspberries, strawberries, with a bit of smokiness/gaminess. The criticism would be a fairly dry and tannic finish that cuts the fruit off.

Nice straightforward Chinon purchased off the list for $38 at Char No 4 Brooklyn, NY. Very straightforward vegetal cab franc qualities without a ton of complexity. Happy to drink this cheaply off a wine list on a cold night.

We drank over the course of a two hour meal at Proof on Main, Louisville, KY in the 21C Hotel. This is a great bottle of wine to match with an assorted tasting menu or a multi-course meal that includes both seafood and steak. It is a really nice, balanced wine with plenty of strawberry and raspberry fruit, and it held up nicely against every dish served.

Tasted blind and immediately impressed by the light touch, low alcohol, and tart fruits, especially cherry. My comment was that if this wine was only $20, it was an incredible value.... I would be happy to drink this again with food.

Pretty simple and straightforward Vosne that opened up over 90 minutes. As it warmed up from cellar temp, it showed a bit more of the cherry flavors that immediately showed on the nose. A bit light but nice value wine.

Wow, this is a wine with just amazing precision, minerality, acid balance, and that incredible Coche wonderment that leaves you thinking about the wine weeks later. Taillevent, Paris, off the list.

Super interesting bottle at Le Vin Papillon, Montreal. Served in white wine glasses, it had a deep, rich nose with a bit of stink and a really nice targeted, racy palette.

Very nice rich fruit on the nose but Burgundy Al's note seems dead on to me. The palate showed very little; the wine was pretty shut while drinking over the course of 2.5 hours. If I owned this wine, I probably wouldn't touch it for another 8 years.
