25 years on maybe waiting that long was a bad idea. 10 years ago these were a lot better.

This seems flawed, though tough to tell with skin contact. Other vintages haven’t had this deep orange color. Has a sweetish taste, the orange descriptors are correct.
White - Off-dry
Still has some acid, but seems softer. I didn’t plan on aging this so long, but still enjoyable.

This was substituted for another 2019 Stein feinherb that sold out. One of the best noses in a while, almost doesn’t taste like Riesling in a good way. Love feinherb, this is a great balance of barely perceptible sweetness and acid.

Opened the 1996 Cooke Zinfandel. I decanted but it wouldn’t have been necessary, a few bits of large sediment. Cork looked good so I didn’t bother with the Durand, that was a mistake sine the cork broke off. I’m not much on flavor/bouquet descriptions but this was pretty nice. Good acids and Zinfandel. This is typical of an aged zin I’ll need to get more. Looking forward to aging the Bedrock and O&F Zinfandel.

Sad the vines were ripped out. Nice bite and texture. Wine is much better than my tasting note.

Labeled as a Bourgogne Blanc, but color and taste is that of a dark rose. The grape is Pinot Beurot (a variation of pinot gris). Seems the color is typical of skin contact Pinot Beurot. Keep in mind it’s best to think Rose when pairing with food.

Cork smells of TCA. The nose is mute except for a “fishy” smell. Hopefully, it improves. I hope to wake up tomorrow and find out COVID-19 was just a bad dream.

I like it but have no experience with aged Cali Bordeaux blends. Kudos to Joel for this offering. The Durand worked well in opening this, only problem was the worm went through the cork.

Pop and pour, still nice maybe not as compelling as on release. Happy to have some more, light almost a dark rose color.

It still had some spritz after a decant on day 1. Day 2 brought a darker, very enjoyable wine and yet still left a subdued impression of spritz. Makes me curious a out trying the CRB on a second day.
White - Off-dry

Good wine with Chinese food, had less sweetness than younger bottles but the acidity has dropped off. It was a bit disappointing.

Very liitle fruit , two tasters didn't like it. Good color but intend to drink up. No improvement on the second day.
