Opened 4 bottles and double decanted 3-4 hours prior to serving for a group dinner. This is in a really nice spot now. No rush needed but also no need to wait any longer on these.

Tasted at the winery during annual open house. Wow, what a wine! My favorite wine of the day. Drinking absolutely beautifully right now.

Tasted at the winery during annual open house. The 2008 is drinking beautifully right now. Still has a lot of black fruits and has great balance and depth.

Pnp a glass and then left the bottle open for 2 days in the fridge before trying again. In managed to put on some weight and was great to drink. Has a lot of characteristics that remind me of an aged port except it's not sweet. Still pretty tannic so will lay the remaining bottles down for a couple of years before trying again.

The nose on this was huge, dark and brooding. Seemed like a pretty heavily extracted wine. Plenty of fruit, moderate tannins and a long finish. Didn't get a chance to decant but improved with time in the glass.

Good amount of fruit, hardly any tannins, lots of secondary flavors, very well balanced. Drinking at its prime.

Well balanced wine with a medium body and a hint of oak. Had with chicken soup and paired well.

Decanted for an hour. Had lots of sediment. Big and bold wine with lots of fruit and secondary flavors. A tad too sweet for me though. Will wait a few years before opening again.

Floral and fruity with light tannins. Not much complexity but easy to drink and general crowd pleaser.

Had a bottle a month ago that was decanted for an hour but never really opened up. This time around did a double decant and left for 2 hours and it showed very well. Still has some fruit to it and is nicely balanced with good mouthfeel and soft tannins.
