Decanted for 8 hours. A medium/full-bodied wine. Plum & blackberry on the nose with a hint of chocolate. This was a lovely wine. Quite savoury with nicely balanced tannin's riding on a wave of oak & sandalwood. I still have two. I have heard it could go down another 9 years but i felt it was almost at it's peak so i'll open another one later this year or next year & see how it's changed.

9/3/18, 8:56 AM - I opened bottle number 3 of 6 recently and thought it was in great condition, sounds like yours was similar. Certainly better than I recall the first 2 being, they were opened in 2016. But I only gave mine about 2.5 hours in the decanter - do you think there's a benefit in the longer decant for wines like this? I plan to drink the remaining 3 over then next 3 or 4 years. Outstanding value for money.

Got this one for a Christmas holiday gift. Fantastic bottle, very smooth and luscious blend of Cab and Shiraz that Penfolds seems to have perfected. Pop and pour deliciousness!!

Tasted during a walkabout, WA event "a matter of taste", so no tasting notes, only short impressions. Not sure what this Port producer tries to achieve with this off the mill, me-too, hot, South Australian Shiraz.

7/6/18, 1:40 AM - You do realise that Taylor's the Clare Valley wine company is totally un-related to Taylor's the long-established Port producer?

A nice GSM (the CDP recipe)... has been better in previous years, but pretty good. I won't rush out to buy a case (our criterion with tryers) but we liked it with dinner.

6/5/18, 3:33 PM - Sounds like you were drinking the blend - this wine is 100% Shiraz according to winery notes.
