This is why you age a wine. This was from a 3L so probably aged better than a single. Wonderful cab purity, just a little browing on the edges. We had the clio 99 pointer with it and this refined cab was a favorite over the super extracted style made so often now.

I may be the first person to drink this wine other than the owners of the place. Drank out of Dixie Cups with Bar B Que. Dark wine. Started bitter and softened up over an hour and a half. Nice blend of the cab franc and merlot.

12/5/12, 5:28 PM - I received the blend from Screaming Eagle directly. The letter was misleading, after I read a comment on another thread they said that the wines were 56-63 cabernet but from slightly younger vines of the same vineyard as the big boy. Another guy nearly the same thing as I am on another web site, That is why at some point this wine will be worth more in my opinion once this information is common knowledge.
