Too much pepper and to little fruit, fig, etc to be a great Amarone...

I really wish Jerry would put some Malbec into this blend again. This year was by far one of his best. Excellent nose, structure, and finish. It's got at least another couple years viability!!

Nice for what it is. Let it breath a bit, then enjoy. Fruit forward with very little oak left. Good for a weekday wine.

Showing very well now. Starts off mild, but gets so much bigger with air. The oak has died down and the fruit is coming forward, but still nice. I'd drink within the next year or so.....

Considering that it's still young, it's OK. Bit of a bite, which does mellow slightly with decanting, notes of fruit and some red pepper. Not something I'd purchase again, but it works for either casual at home, or second/third bottle with friends.

It's funny how people don't understand how some wines are made, or even seem to understand wine at all. See Mandevt's post for an explaination, I don't need to repost. For what the wine is, and should be expected to be, it's a nice experience. Very light, fruity, with a hint of effervescence that needs to be drunk young.

For what you pay, it's not all that bad of a wine. OK if you want just one glass or as a second bottle, but not something I'd choose as a first wine with a nice dinner.

Another fine example of why Brian's wines are wonderful. Good nose, body, structure, and finish. For it's pricepoint, a very nice wine.

Keeps getting better each time. Wonderful nose, color, body, and finish. I'm going to be curious to see how this ages over the next few years. It did win a double gold recently as well.

Not sure what the other poster noted, but once it opened up, it turned out to be fine. Spice, earth, and cherry right off with an oak finish. Due to the other post, I have to say that BC wine can be quite good. Obviously they don't try enough of it to see all the variety that BC has to offer....and I'm from the states. If you're drinking kirkland brand....I'm very sorry.

First taste right out of the bottle...notes of cherry, oak, and spice with nice acidity and long finish. At this point....90+ easy. After decanted for two hours and saw a good difference. In a few years I think this will turn into an exceptional wine.

Tang up front of bell peppers then hints of white pepper and a dryer finish. Not a great wine, not even for the price....but would be fine for a second bottle, or third depending on how many people. May not buy again.

Decent flavor with chocolate, cherry, and a hint of pepper...but drops off quickly. Decanted for awhile and it opens up and turns out ok. Ok wine overall, not good, not great...but perfect for just opening something up or a second/third bottle, when those times arrive. Would try again for that pricepoint.

Earthy and peppery but bland (as my wife just said). No depth, but ok for a second bottle or to just open one. I can think of others much better even at this low price point. Might buy again but wouldn't go out of my way.

OK up front, but with no body. Flavor and body fade right away. Decanting helps, and waiting a few days makes it develop even more red pepper taste. After 3 days opened (just to try) I swear it tastes like salsa....won't purchase again.

Not the best wine I've had, but a nice showing by this Spanish wine. Nice nose right away, then a better than average complexity with peppery earth and ....damn, I want to say prune, green pepper, and a hint of dark fruit. I'm not a fan of Spanish wines, but this shows nicely and would consider another bottle.

At first it doesn't seem to have a great finish, but a bit more air does wonders for it. Very nice wine for the price and I'll look forward to more from them. Was just at the winery last weekend to pick this one up, and am looking forward to opening more bottles of the wines we tasted!
