3/9/20, 6:43 PM - There's one wine shop and I think he's gouging folks. The Wine Merchant. I don't buy there. I'm a Wine Club member at 7 different wineries. Make 1-2 trips a year to WA & OR to stock up and try new places. I'm a Walla Walla junkie. Was good to hear from you! -Ray-

Why would a brand like Woodward Canyon sully themselves with such plonk? A debasement. Tasted like a bad port - high alcohol, volatile overripe berries. Worst wine of 2012.

8+ months since last bottle. I think it got richer in flavor. Color is gorgeous. Soft mouth. Wonderful.

Lemon and apple up front with a stony, minerally middle and a good acidic finish. Kinda reminds me of a good Chard that just happens to have bubbles. Really fun to taste alongside a Marne Champagne and compare, this has none of the brioche / marshmallow / caramel / etc flavors.

Major mistake opening this too young Funk Syrah in June 2018. Harsh, not very fruity or tasty for a syrah from the Rocks. I have several more bottles which should not be opened for two or three years.

Easy to drink and plenty of body. A little too much fruit to be a favorite Cabernet. More tannins and earthiness would be welcome.

Drinking well. Well made, straightforward WA cab, but without anything other than good fruit. Not seeing Jamie Brown as a rockstar winemaker.
