OK, so maybe its not for everyone but.....

I would buy every bottle I possibly could at this price point....In fact, I think I did here in southeast Wisconsin.....

This wine is so damn tasty, it makes me want to punch people in the face.......
Red
actually quite nice after being open a couple hours.....
Red
2005 Ridge Geyserville Sonoma County Zinfandel Blend, Zinfandel (view label images)
real good, typical Ridge....drinking well now but will likely hold on.....

corked, very disappointing after hanging on to the bottle for at least three years........damn...............

Eh...Not sure about this....awkward phase? I hope....2 hours in the decanter but not much there....no nose, short finish....hmmmmm.......i'll keep checking back with it and, if it improves, will modify....
Red
2006 Continuum Proprietary Red Napa Valley Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
poured the neck in a glass and let the bottle breathe four hours before drinking.....word of advice - dont sleep on Tim Mondavi....this stuff is incredible.....

2005 Bond Matriarch Napa Valley Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
holy crap this is good.
Red
Given an hour or two to open, this is still really nice....earthy and spicy nose.....the earth follows in the mouth but the fruit comes back with air....really well made rosso.....my bet is that it can make it for at least a few more years....
Red
nice, but quite different than I remembered.....classic pinot nose but not palate....as it opened, if blindfolded, I would have guessed mature rosso/brunello....weird but that's what I got..............
Red
Good. Just damn good. Nothing more needs to be said.

2008 Scarborough Visionnaire Klipsun Vineyard Red Mountain Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend (view label images)
The temp hit 80 for the first time in 2010 here in Wisconsin.....Couldn't have asked for a better way to end my day than with my friends from O'Shea....Enjoyable bottle of wine......
Red
I love this stuff.....Hate to see my last '04 go but such is life.....Time to start on my '05s!!!!!
White
didn't look at what I was drinking.....thought it was sauv blac....enjoyed it just didnt get much white burgandy until I saw the bottle........
Red
Good stuff...wish I had more.....smoky, big finish.......
Red
Wowsa! German Pinot, big time baby.....This is some good stuff man!!

Nice fruit but not overwhelming...lingering finish.....I must say, I'm impressed....My new recommendation for those who want a damn good pop and pour pinot...The screwcap just makes it that much easier to grab and drink......
Red
2006 Mollydooker Two Left Feet South Australia Shiraz Blend, Syrah (view label images)
Forgot I had a bottle of this...bought a couple years ago, found it last night when looking for something a bit "bigger" and "over the top"....

Quite the pleasant surprise.....Yes, it was Aussie....Yes, it was dark and jammy....Yes, it was big and fruity.....But it had balance, a decent finish, and, for $16.99, it more than paid me back for the 2-3 years it took up space in my cellar....
Red
2005 Bodegas Luzon Jumilla Mourvèdre Blend, Mourvèdre (view label images)
took about 20 minutes for the bottle to blow off some stink....When it opened, it was quite good for a $7.00 pop and pour.....Aged nicely....
Red
Nice Brunello....not as complex or interesting as earlier vintages....or the 2001 for that matter.....In my opinion, drink any 2000s now.....
Red
Surprisingly nice....Pop and poured....No decant was needed and, for that matter, not sure it really would have benefitted from one regardless...saved enough for a couple glasses the next night and it was still there, not as good, but still ther.....A Wine Access purchase that delivered....

Disappointing....Didn't enjoy....Frustrating given my appreciation for the Calera single vineyards....
Red
wonderful and ready to drink....time was our friend....not sure what these 70 and 80 point scores are all about, unless they are just personal preferences against the modern style...because this is definately modern tempranillo....But, man, this is good stuff - balanced, soft fruit...delicious....

EDIT: I left a glass in the bottle to finish later....left it on the counter with the cork in....came back to finish the last glass 48 hours later.....no temperature control, a bottle full of air besides the last glass.....Yet, this was still rockin!

A 3.0 liter Jeroboam for my Turkey Day wine.....Opened at about 9am and decanted about half the bottle so the whole thing can get some air....That's one big bottle!!!

Hour 1: Big time heat and alcohol on the nose.....The small taste I had was extremely tight and full of alcohol....Something good is in there but it's not nearly ready yet....

Hour 2: Nose is waking up....Showing cherries and cranberries....Wow, it actually smells a little like Thanksgiving...It is going to show well with the bird....Still tight in the mouth but loosening up a bit....I'm getting pretty pumped....More later.....

Dinner Time (Hour 6): Delicious. Damn good CNdP!

Good, good stuff....initially muted on the nose and restrained in the mouth.....grew into a beautifully balanced barolo with gentle, subtle fruit (especially compared to the 2005, which we drank along side and had more powerful fruit and visible tannins).......wonderful nebbiolo nose....wonder how this would fair at Barolo Fest 2? Will there be a Barolo Fest 2?

2002 Domenico Clerico Langhe Arte Langhe DOC Nebbiolo Blend, Nebbiolo (view label images)
NIce big wine....Decanted for about an hour and than drank with an artichoke and proscuitto pizza....Not a typical nebbiolo in my mind....what's the blending grape(s)? Good wine though, thoroughly enjoyed...

I remember liking this wine very much when I brought a bottle to a dinner party a few months ago.....tucked away the rest of my stash until I needed that Barolo groove without the Barolo price....So, I was reluctant to order this off the menu at Zarletti's for dinner last night but the mark up wasnt bad and I knew it could at least compete with the Barolos that were fetching 2x retail on the menu...

Decanted and poured.....muted on the nose but nebbiolo peeking through....it was just waking up from its nap and not ready to play but I knew it was there....put it aside to sip on a '98 Ca Rome Barbaresco (pretty wine by the way).....

Here comes dinner...a very nice Osso Bucco with risotto....Let's say hello to young Vietti again.....Hello, Barolo!!!!

Classic Barolo nose....The mouth is wonderfully balanced, acting as a taste multiplier for each bite of the Osso Bucco.....

Seriously, this is only a baby nebbiolo? Go get yourself some at $25 retail if you want some fine stuff to kill that Barolo jones without breaking the bank...
Red
typical Paul Hobbs....rich, fruit forward cabernet....delicious if you like Hobbs....which I do....Very, very much....Helped take some of the sting away from Favre's conquest of Lambeau as a Viking....

Nice autumn wine...very well made....probably more props to the winemaker than the vineyard - dont really get a sense of place here - but, regardless, really a nice wine....

Popped and poured and we finished the bottle in an hour....Didn't need much air and not sure it needs more cellartime.....drinking very well now......

Where did I get this wine?

1st night, it was OK. At least it was interesting. More pepper/spice than you would normally find in a pinot. Not a lot of fruit or complexity. A little floral on the nose although floral isnt really the right word - "gardeny" might work. All spice in the mouth.

Wasn't really my favorite style but it was OK. I say that but with each sip that I took, I would tell myself - OK, I get it....but maybe I'll open something else now that I actually enjoy.

2nd night. Half the bottle was gone and was left corked on the counter from night before. 1st sip on 2nd night = awful. Poured the rest of it out and went back down to the cellar.

Nice wine, much better than I remembered. I have three more - think I'll power through them soon because they are drinking well now.
