Very intense nose of blackcurrant, blackberry and blueberry. The palate adds a punch of tannin. Long aftertaste. Clearly this bottle would have kept easily for another 10 years. On my shopping list.

Excellent, fresh nose full of blackcurrant, raspberry, pepper, leather, cedar. Colour only ceding slightly at the rim. Great taste that lasts. This wine is still going strong despite the age.

A 14 Year old that has sunk a bit in the bottle is not a promising start. The wine surprises. Strong, deep colour without orange edge. Nose I rich in leather and liquorice and black currant. This is fully honoured on the palate and with a lasting aftertaste.

Nose full of pepper and musk with a hint of blackcurrant. Palate continues with pepper combined with cherry and gentle tannins. Long aftertaste.

Deep colour. Excellent nose of liquorice, blackberry and musk. Quite a few tannins, but still the flavours prevail. Long aftertaste.

Slightly ceeding colour. Nose is a flush of musk, leather and blackberry. This is repeated in the palate. A light touch of tannin. Might still keep a few years. Alas this was our last bottle.

Dark colour with limited sign of age. Cedar and blackcurrant bouquet. Blackcurrant with few tannins left. Other bottles of same drink recently had faded more. Though it is still a good drink, it is on the way down. Drink this one soon.
