Round red strawberry on the nose. Aged when drinking in 2018. Clean, faintly sour fruit on the palette. Subtle but still alive.

Sweet. Heavily oaked which gives it a creamy finish. The smell is spicy pepper, velvet, tickling, rich without being intense. Sugar all the way through the sip.

Inky color. Overpowering fruit, but not too sweet. This wine packs a lot into it. Lacks delicacy and elegance, but decent. Solid McLaren Vale character.

Nose: Faint. Clean mountain air. Overripe watermelon. Cool.
Taste: Wild raspberry brambles, tart with a layer of earthiness that adds complexity without overpowering. Pinot-y apricot on the finish. Burns, belying the smoothness of the fruits. Hefty. Tannins present, but not imposing.
