Light, fruity and slightly spritzy red wine. Not a lot of complexity but still very young.

Demi-sec. Tertiary but this bottle which came recently from the Dutch importer is still drinking beautifully.

Classical Tempranillo from American oak aromas. Powdery tannins. Not in a very exuberant phase. Keep for a few more years.

Quite tertiary already with a strong mushroom aroma. On the palate the wine was somewhat bitter and astringent. Over the top or in a close phase? Not as good as expected

Burnt hair and strawberry on the nose, very light and slightly mousy palate. Not impressed.

Clean and lengthy, in its drinking window. Not too remarkable, poor QPR

Pale colour, with an initially stink on the nose that blows off. High acidity, also butteryness from its maloactic fermentation. White tart flours, lemon and apple. Needs more time

Much better than last time. It seems to have gained depth, honeysuckle and other white flowers. Minerality and very well balanced acidity. Seems a little oily on the palate and has the tiniest whiff of ox which add class. In a very good place

Reductive, Burgundy style Chenin with delicate acidity and soms white fruit aromas. At its peak

Cool climate Pinot style more like Spätburgunder than Burgundy with some of the same liquorice and laurel scent and light body with crisp red fruit but there is something sweeter and warmer to it in the mouth. Would be great with fish. I don't have any reference but probably in it's drinking window

I always find Aligote to be a good measure of a wine maker's skills as it a hard grape to create a delicate wine from. But Marthe Henry-Boillot managed to do so. Fragrant nose of white flowers and lemon as well as some reduction. On the palate it's delicate but still reveals the astringency and bitterness I'd assocate with the grape. Paired it with a Dutch 'stamppot' with raw endive and was happy with the combination. Already ready to drink.

Wine of the year. First drank this in restaurant Ernst in Berlin where the delicate perfume of raspberry and roses stuck with me. It has wonderful acidity and plenty of delicate and perfectly ripe red fruit on the palate. Some reduction. Superb

Beautifully aged single-vineyard Assyrtiko, last vintage made by the legendary Haridimos Hatzidakis. This may be one of the best wines ever produced on the island of Santorini. Golden colour. Some lemon peel left but dominant aromas of orange melon, minerals, honey and raisin. Ever so slightly oxidised in a good way. Viscous and long. Just delicious.

Very fruit forward still and restrained on the nose, but complex on the palate with incredible smoothness. Acidity is very well integrated. Needs more time to fully develop.

Seems like this bottle had secondary fermentation given the bubbles on opening and the fizzybtaste even after 2 days opened in the fridge. Interesting but too yeasty. Not impressed.

From magnum. Drank at a private dinner on Nomad IV in Cap Ferrat. 100% Folle Noir. Green bell pepper, bramble, blackberry, cedarwood, coffee, balsamic, dried meat on the nose. Orange marmelade, strawberry, black fruit on the palate. Medium+ acidity, medium tannins, medium length, 14% alcohol. Prime drinking window. Wonderful

First year Bernaudeau made this cuvee. Strongly reductive nose with lemon juice, biscuit, apple, elderflower. On the palate it has a saltiness and incredible tension with orange, orange peel, apple, pear, white flowers. Not as polished as Nourissons or Coqueries and more citrusy than the other wines he makes. Lovely and only 11% alcohol

At Spectrum restaurant, Amsterdam. Typical PYC reduction with notes of mint, green fruit, lemon candy and back palate of agrume. Young but very drinkable at this stage

Decanted in a carafe to separate it from the depot and returned to the bottle. Drank after 2-3 hours. Beautifully developed tertiairy aromas giving a highly fragrant bouquet of sweet flowers, powerful cedar wood and tobacco, so elegant still and light footed given its age. Very much in its drinking window still. Unforgettable wine.

Balanced, clean and somewhat ephemeral Sangiovese that did extremely well with pasta with wild boar, a fellow Tuscan delicacy. Should get much better still over the next 5-10 years

Wow! Reduction and plenty of tropical fruit. Before it’s peak but clearly has the class of a grand cru. Drink for the next 5-7 years

Just a touch of ox but otherwise clean and lean Chablis. Probably at that age where it neither had the young fruit, or the tertiary aromas back by acidity. But nevertheless lovely. I would keep other bottles for another 3-5 years

Peak drinking window now. Amber coloured and full of tertiary flavours but no oxidation or lack of acidity. Wonderful at this stage.

Reductive, with a nose of crushed apple and liquorice with a linear undertone. Ever so slight fizz on the tongue (2nd fermentation?) and a palate consistent with the nose. Delicious

All tertiairy but lively, like a Spatburgunder without fruit. Lasted about 45m in the decanter before it started to collapse. Very classy
