From magnum, with confit du canard.
Still deep red.

Displays a wonderful cab-nose with cassis and some spice.

Very balanced and long on the palate, classic Pessac from what for me is still an underrated vintage in Bordeaux.

Very pleasing wine at this stage, Great value for money, and a good match for the duck.

Yellow colour with a hinge of pink.

Nose is dominated by yellow apples with some brioche, quite rich and open.

On the palate the wine appears very rich, fully mature. but still only secondary aromas. Appears younger than 22 years, but may have developed slower in the magnum format?

All in all, very good and appoacheble now

Very light colour, almost transparent.

The nose is dominated by oak and vanilla, some red berries in the background, which struggle to come through the coca cola scent which I find typical for this part of California. Others will call this "strawberry jam",

OK in the mouth, with some length, tasted this over 4 hours without any noticeable improvement in the glass. I do not expect this wine to improve much over age as it is not very concentrated,

Rather disappointing to me...

Found a couple of misplaced «overkeeper» bottles of this during cellar organisation, Had well kept dark colour, of course showing maturity in the glass as well. Surprisingly well kept berry fruits, blackberry/blueberry with secondary fruit character. Smooth and long on the palate, still holding together and typical Northern Rhone - a very nice surprise!

Purple red, young appearance in the glass

Classic syrah / St Joseph nose wit quite sweet black/blueberry and some spices.

Really Nice in mouth, good concentration and length - with very good balance and freshness

As usual a very good effort from Bernard Gripa, still very value for «entry level St Joseph»

Medium red colour, looks quite mature
Red berry fruit of Strawberry/ Framboise - mostly primary
Great mouthfill with red strawberry fruit in front of the palate- not too concentrated but lasts very long into a balanced finish
All in all a very good red wine effort from this great white producer

Very healthy greenish yellow colour.

Nose is very appealing and rich, dominated by sitrus (lime?) and yellow fruits

Very concentrated on the palate, hits in front of the mouth, good breath in the middle and a lasting finish. The yellow fruit / sitrus is also dominating Good balance and good freshness.

A great and lovely Chassagne, drinking good now, but no hurry to drink up.

After a couple of hours in carafe, the wine appeared as semi-mature,
showing ome maturity in the red colour.

Nose of red fruits (dark cherries), some spices and vanilla

The wine hits in front and goes all the way back for a very long finish, good sweetness with some tannins which are quite smooth and good freshness.

Very elegant Brunello, which should improve over the next 5-10 years

Purple / red colour,

<sweet nose dominated by darker berries (blqckberries/bromberries?), and some spice. Really delicate as it open up with air and temprature.
Hit right in front of the palate, good weight and great length, nicely balanced. To me this is 1er cru level rather than communal appelation

Really nice red from 2019, which so far hasn't given me a disappointing bottle. should be better in 5-10 years.

Very deep colour, more purple than red.

The nose is quite open, with lots of fruit, mostly black berries, but also black olives / spices. Very nice and promising.

On the palate the wine hits in front and lasts all the way back - excellent length. Tannins are present, but generally very smooth.

Quite a mouthfill, drinking surpringly well now for the such a young wine, but should gain a lot from cellaring another 5-15 years.

Very youthful apperance, purple / deep red.

Typical Northern Rhone syrah nose, with red/black (purple) berries, some spice in this very broad bouquet.

Very fresh in the mouth, not the same weight as previous vintages, very nce now but should improve from cellaring over the next decade.

Red/purple colour, somewhat less dense than expected for a 2019 St. Joseph.

Nose With berries (red/black) and spices, very fresh and somewhat backward

Medíum weight With a sensational length, hits early on the palate and lasts all the way back.

Fresh appearance In the mouth, with very god balance. A more classical winemaking than the most extracted northern rhone reds, which makes the wine very appealing and more likeable in the 2. glass. I new producer for me, which I find very interesting, definately worth Seeking out..

3 years since previous bottle - has develooed very nicely, gained some yellow colour but still very healty appearance

Very typical Chassagne nose now - sitrus / line and some nutty flavour

Very fresh in the mouth - medium weight but exceptional length and balance

Will it get better from ageing? Probably, as there are no signa of ox or other over the top aromas - the acidity, good minerality and general structure of the wine tells me I still can wait a few years for peak for this lovely wine

From magnum

Pale yellow, very healthy appearance

Nose is complex - some «pfalz grapefruit», and (white) peach. No hints of petroleum which one might expect on a 12 year old riesling?

Very good concentration, length and exceptional balance. Less oppulence/ ripeness than most 2009-sesongen tasted recently

Overtall a very fine sample of a dry pfalz riesling - probably close to peak now!

Still green, looks very healty

Sitrus lime flavour accompanied by some nutty character, still rather primary.

Fresh in the mouth, excellent length and concentration - a lot of energy here!

Really great white burg with lot of potential, if you can wait - so good now!

Nose of blackcurrant and some spices, a touch of vanilla

A good mouthfill with excellent length and breadth, very smooth tannins , good fruit with a dry finish.

Exceptional quality and value for money for a second wine in this very satisfying vintage, glad I have a few more and not the least, a couple of bottles of the Grand Vin in my cellar

Magnum bottle
Deep red, remarkable colour for a 20 year old wine.

Nose dominated by blackcurrant and cedar, some vanilla (oak) and some spices

Medium weight and good fruit on the palate, still a bit tight with present tannins. Only decanted for 1 hour, which probably was a mistake

A good BX from an underrated vintage

Vow!

Vert deep colour,

Very sweet and rich berry nose, with spices - Meditative!

Very rich on the palate, hits in the front and goes all the way back with excellent length and concentration

Best 2010 birgundy I have opened so far, very good now, no need for further cellaring, but should impove in complexity over the next 5-10 years at least (if you can wait)

Quite deep colour, not showing much development

Berry fruit on the nose, along with spices. Quite appealing, but still a bit backward. Maybe 3 hrs of decanting wasn't enough

Rather "un-developed" in the mouth, a few hard tannins and somewhat closed.

This bottled surprised a bit, have open many 2010 burgundies lately, whc have come much longer in their lives than this. Will wait at least 3 years before opening the next.

Drank while re-watching Sideways movie,
Deep red, nose is very fruity opulent dominated by red fruits – maybe combination of strawberry and boysenberry?
Mouth fill is somewhat disappointing, feeling this lacks some concentration which yoy find in the best California Pinots
All in all a slight disappointment, enjoyed the movie (as always)

Nose is cedar tobacco as a start, with air it reveals a broad and complex red fruit nose

Nose is dominated by Blackcurrant / Cab aromas, with some spice and a touch of vanilla

Quite fresh in the mouth with smooth tannins, good fruit concentration and length

Has reached its drinking window, but still lot of potential from further cellaring, a very decent bottle

Beautiful red fruit aromas with strawberry as the main flavour accompanied by some spices

Fresh with silky tannins and good concentration on the palate, with red fruits dominating the taste.

A very nice Chambolle close to reaching plateau in the drinking window

Yellow with green tones, does not look very developed at all

Very clean and typical Chablis nose with sea and chalk dominating over some citrus aromas.

Good acidity and excellent length, a very balanced impression where you can "taste the aromas"

Very good and typical Chablis which is starting to mature, no sign of premox, should last another 10 years

Still looks quite immature, deep red colour

Nose is dominated y red fruits and some spices, not a typical blackcurrant Cabernet.

Tannins are quite polished, with good freshness. Red fruit on the palate with nice length.

A very decent Bordeaux from what seems to be an underrated vintage, just starting in the drinking window, but should still improve from cellaring another 5-15 years (at least)

Rich nose of bread and Yellow Apples, somewhat backward which indicates this wine is still not at its peak

Creamy texture and very rich on the palate, but good freshness and structure. Mature yellow Apples are still dominating the fruity appearance.

Very good champagne, somewhat early to drink, expect it to show even more of its potential in 3-5 years

Deep red, showing some development on colour

Nose is dominated by some unintegrated oak, with cherry fruit beneath, quite closed.

Somewhat tannic on the palate, the fruit is rather backward at this stage.

Opened to assess the development of this wine which was very promising a couple of years ago, now the wine is in a an un-yielding phase, I believe the oak will integrate well and the fruit will open up again in a couple of years.

Nose is cabernet sauvignon dominated with cassis , some vanilla (oak) but generally well integrated - pleaseant bouquet.

Very fruity on the palate. lack some structure (and acidity?).

Good for current consumption, questioning if it will improve much from cellaring. Good wine without the greatness expected from this chateau

Purple tones in this quite young wine

Nose of violets and dark berries such as blackberries and maybe Even plums

Quite structured on the palate and less seductive than many other red burgundies from this vintage, lacks a bit of the "flesh" which I really like on the 17s. Good concentration and length.

Probably gone into a phase, will wait at least 3 years before opening the next bottle

Black fruit, blueberries and blackberries, som spices, nice bouquet which opened up after som time.

Pale Yellow and healthy colour

Citrus/Lime on the nose, quite rich, but young aromas

Quite youthful in the mouth, rather raw. Fresh with nice acidity, very good concentration and length.

Good potential here, and promising for the 2015 white burgundys, which seem to have freshended up after their initial "rich fleshy style" Will wait a couple of years for the next bottle

Very young appearance, still some purple tones of this deep coloured Givry.

Nose is very opulent, with lots of cherry fruit accompanied by spices.

Medium weight in the mouth with very good length, very silky and seductive,

This is phenomenal quality for a Givry, and drinking fantastic now as most 17s. No hurry if you can resist it in the cellar.

Colour is transparent red, not showing much maturity

Nose is very nice, full of berries (mostly cherries), spice and violet, very typical Volnay and really none of the expected green tones you often find in this vintage.

Medium weight on the palate, good length and balanced

Drinking very well now, probably not improving much from further cellaring, this was a nice surprise given the somewhat bad reputation of the vintage
