A good wine and example of a quality Malbec. To me, a reasonably sophisticated wine despite the dark fruit and vanilla flavors that make for easy drinking. I have several of these and have been drinking over the last three years. Clearly still getting better.

Grapefruit - think Fresca. I like it but my wife thinks too sweet.

Wow, this is very nice. Vanilla scent and taste. If someone had told me I was drinking a California Cab I would have said - "Obviously". Nice QPR but I think will be even better in a a few years. Going to let my other three bottles sit for a couple of years because I think this has a lot of potential. Hard to get a big red of this potential at this cost. Would have given a 92 or 93 except the rawness.

This is very nice. The thick velvet vanilla you hope for in a $25 (Australian) Shiraz. Very, very good. The thing to do is buy two cases and drink one over the next year and save the next to see if these mass-produced Australians age as well as they present as newbies.

Really nice Chardonnay and not like anything I have ever had from California (except other bottles of Stony Hill!). Stony Hill has been around so long that the methods they use predate some of the practices that produce the much-discussed (often condemned) oaky California Chardonnay. Great citrus and minerality.

This was a fantastic bottle of wine and a great example of a rich cab.

Simply too sweet for my taste. Almost a candy flavor.

A very nice quality to price proposition. Vanilla and oakiness. I am a big fan. Some excess acidity and not to be confused with a Burgundian.

Normally, I don't drink Syrah. I have generaly been disappointed when I have. This is a huge exception and I am extremly impressed this is a $20 wine. Deep purple with very smooth tannins and noticeable legs. Tannins not normally this smooth at this price range. Big fan. Plan to buy a case.

A slight acidic tartness that I am not convinced will go away with aging. I don't tase much fruit and doesn't have the richness that can make a cab so good - a bit thin. I know this wine is about QTP but I think you can get a decent amount more Q in Austraila for just a bit more P.

A high quality cabernet sauvignon and a rare value buy in that varietal. This has enough rich flavors to make you notice and appreciate while remaining at a price point that leaves it a reasonable 'everyday wine'.

A very accessible and affordable red Burgundy. This is the sort of wine that is a great party gift. Although it's not an inspirational wine, it is a solid value.

Swati really enjoyed this. It drew the "It's really easy to drink" comment you can expect from a well-produced Austrailian red.

Really, really nice Chardonnay. For me, this calls to mind a Burgundy more than most Californian chardonnays. Citrus was the strongest taste although there was a lesser taste of vanilla. What was truly nice about this wine was the balance between the fruit and acid as well as great length. Also great body.

To me, this wine is a very nice expression of Australian value. The fruit comes first and that's nice. It's an Australian so a bit of a mouthful of alcohol next. Then a sort of balanced stillness. This is very good for the price- I don't think many would speak poorly of this wine.

A nice burst of early fruitiness (cherry-ness) was, unfortunately, followed and somewhat outlasted by a mild bitterness. Not the most complex wine but a nice drink once it aired a bit.

I would rate this as an 88; it is a very fine wine indeed. Not a pure Zinfandel, but rather a blend of 77% Zinfandel, 17% Petit Sirah, and 6% Carignane. This wine has benefitted from its mixed heritage with the silkiness of a high-quality Zin combined with a pleasantness that called to mind certain Piedmonts.

This is a decent wine, but not one that you are likely to mention to your friends in a couple of weeks during a wine reminiscing session. There is not much to complain about with the possible exception of the price/quality ratio. The smell is OK and the taste is somewhat better. Of the four varietals (Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Malbec), I found the Syrah the most noticeable. Perhaps this wine needs a touch more aging.
