A spicy, red fruit nose. A bit grumpy to start, but unfurled over the course of a couple hours. Not amazing, but very nice. Purchased at Caves Madeleine (Beaune) in 2012.

Certainly not your basic pot de côtes! Deep and substantial. In essence, a baby Corna. Has many years left.

Nice nose, but somewhat rustic on the palate. Not a lot of charm.

Didn’t get the feeling this was advanced, but certainly ready to go. It was decent enough, with some fresh apple notes, but I don’t think I’d buy more. Did not seem very Chablis-like.

This is in a great place right now. Rich, but with great cut. Stellar, and even better on day two.

Lovely! This was supple, good acidity, bright red fruit, and joy to drink. Early in its maturity, but ready to go.

Good in its style, but for me a bit "meh." Nothing wrong with it, but it wasn't very exciting.

Unfortunately, my last bottle of this. Really drinking well, and still very good on day 2. And this is just a "simple" Bourgogne?

Marvelously delicate florals. Elegant. Pillowy soft, yet still firm.

Double decanted about an hour before starting on it. Very little sediment to speak of (it's filtered, but still threw a tiny bit). This is drinking very well, though I imagine it will be even better with more age. No specific notes taken.

Still my favorite wine with oysters on the half shell.

Drinking surprisingly well. I was expecting it to maybe be a bit past prime, but this was lovely. Delicate, but not brittle. Velvety and thoroughly enjoyable. Looking forward to the last bottle.

Nice Langhe Nebbiolo (as usual with Vajra). While I like drinking these young, this was a bit too young.

Lemon and white flowers. Very nice, but not sure the price is justified.

Again, a fair bit of brett. It wasn't awful, but enough that I didn't really enjoy this wine.

Substantial and moderately tannic, with dark fruit (particularly for a Canary Islands wine). Could use a bit more acidity, but delicious nonetheless.

Opened and decanted, then drank over the next couple of hours. Some light coffee notes (which I didn't expect), then some spice and a light touch of fruit. A couple of others though it had a bit of a pruny quality. Initially a bit too much acidity showing on the palate, then it seems to retreat a bit and shows some spicy, light fruit, but a slight sourness too. It's okay, but drink up.

Capsule was a bit raised, and the cork was soaked through, but didn't seem to have leaked. Solid pinot noir, thankfully. This definitely needed some time in the glass, and showed quite well. No notes taken.

A very interesting wine. Last had the 2018 vintage, which showed a bit more "sherry flor" character. Garpaia's note captures this well. E and I both loved it.

In contrast to the dark fruited and somewhat clunky Marsannay Les Favières from the same producer, this is red fruited and has some elegance. I prefer this one. Very nice drinking.

This wine never disappoints. A step or two (or three!) above most other rosés. Deep, rich yet supple, good length, that familiar slightly oxidative note, along with a deep copper-ish color.

Terrific chardonnay. Really hits all the good notes. Firm structure, lovely aromas of jasmine and white stone fruit, which are followed up on the palate.

Very nice wine, particularly given the price. Juicy dark red fruit (but not at all thick or cloying), excellent structure and balance, some minerals. This is really good. When I see "Rosenthal" on a wine I don't know, it's almost always a safe bet.

Similar to the Vignettes, but perhaps a shade less intensity. Very nice, but for the money I will stick with the Vignettes.
