Magnificent acidity, paired with red fruits and spices. Great wine (as always) and great QPR

In line with my previous comments. You get a relatively classic cabernet profile (dark fruits, cassis, some graphite), but with more warmth and ripeness than in a bordeaux. Also sometimes a slight herbal impression comes through (from the cabernet franc?). Compared to my last bottle 4 months ago, I have the impression that this is has become a bit more harmonious, earning a 90 score now. Maybe the rack of lamb I paired it with gave a helping hand :-)

Nose is rather muted, but in the mouth very fine minerality and some black fruits together with some notes from the evolution. Good QPR.

Nice showing. Minerality and black fruits with a slight wood influence. The acidity providing tension in the finish is great and keeps this lively. Still has some years to go.

Bottle 2/6. Again, flawed. Comes across as heat damaged, with signs of oxidation surfacing fast. What a shame.

This had been taking up space in my cellar for the last 9 years. Bottle 1/6. Hope the rest is OK. Seems heat damaged - very prevalent bitter eclipsing everything else. Transport to Belgium too hot?

Still going strong after almost 3 years since my last bottle. A boatload of fresh red fruits that almost completely cover the small "bio-touch". But the most remarkable aspect of this is the wine's freshness, which is very surprising, considering the region. The freshness keeps this light on its feet and very easy to drink. Nice one.

Surprised to see a soft and modern approach on sangiovese here. Lacks tension and acidity for my current taste.

This has aged really nice. Much better than the 2008 I had in 2015, which was underwhelming. Here you have the cool cabernet franc character coming through, but still with enough volume and stuffing to let you know this is not Loire. Very well made. Serve this cool enough and you will be rewarded. Excellent with marinated steak on the bbq.

50% Touriga Nacional, 35% Alicanté Bouschet and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Sweet, red fruit, freshness and acidity (from the % alicante?), warmth is completely covered by the fruit. Full and fruity, firm. A pleasant surprise and has not changed much compared to my previous bottle 2,5 years ago. A "hot climate" wine that manages to marry remarkable freshness with a clearly "southern" profile.

Sadly my last bottle. This was bottle #380 of 9.063.

Ripe red fruit, some orange zest and tomato and ample freshness. Just a tiny bit of warmth coming through when the wine gets too warm. Versatile food wine. You can't tell this is already ten years old. At peak imo and good qpr. May need to get some more.

Modern Tuscan wine with clear influences from the cabernet sauvignon (more black fruits and some pencil). Good stuffing and very nice with lasagna. Easy to drink. Indeed a very good everyday wine, but clearly internationally styled.

Last bottle and noticably better than my previous bottle. So, bottle variation and this one in line with my other comments. Friendly and fruit forward sangiovese.

Black fruits, licorice, full body, rich and glossy, some vanilla. However, at the end you very quickly get to cope with a large dose of heat and alcohol - even when drank at cellar temperature - which unfortunately prevents the score to end higher (at least for me). When warming up, the wine quickly loses balance.

Not a bad wine, clearly a southern wine, definately a crowd pleaser, but I personally expected more.

Cassis, graphite, touch of wood. Powerful, ripe and round. Slight tannins at the back. "Classic" Bolgheri. Slight vegetal touch. Good, but quite predictable, which is a shame. Can be drunk now and in the next, say, 5 years? I have the impression I get more and more turned off by cabernet based wines lately (unless they are unquestionably outstanding), exactly because of the "predictable" flavor profile...

Still performing at the same high level. Italian flair with bordeaux grapes. In no way a bordeaux knock off, this has its proper identity. A really good wine from a producer that flies somewhat under the radar.

Black fruit, alcohol and heat, really powerful and muscular, lots of wood. No freshness, no elegance, heavy and weighty. A wine that showcases everything that is wrong when aiming for an overblown "Parker-style".

Slight sweet impression from the ripe fruit, red fruits, light and elegant, herbs (origano, thyme), still young but already approachable. As James Suckling would say: "Best ever. Drink or hold."
