I heard critics stress to try in a cognac class, so I used the CAMUS xo borderies specific glass, which was not impressive for this tequila, through trial and error, I have found that a 25 oz Bordeaux Riedel glass made this tequila show its full potential. In other words, this glass allows the tequila's aromas to line up with its flavor profile, and make little alcohol presence.

On the nose
Milk chocolate, nuts, and caramelized sugar.
Palate
The palate matches the aroma profile very well,
Chocolate, nuts caramel, hint of sweet, then fades into a nice peppered finish.

if I could describe this tequila in 2 words it would be, "Snickers candybar"

WOW
If you can find it, try it.
This is a scary tequila, too easy to drink, be careful.

25oz Riedel bordeaux
Upon opening.
On the nose: Hints of floral arrangements, tart and ripe red cherries, cinnamon, and spices.
On the palate, slightly tart red fruits burst on the palate accompanied by firm tannins, which then fades to a riper fruit char actor loaded with great minerality.

As the wine opens up over the coarse an hour in a decanter, you will receive a greater concentration in aroma the tannins level off, the minerality softens, leaving you with a very soft and elegant, true to the region French wine at an "Americanized" price point.

This Rivals many Rhone style blends at twice the price.

Not as violently flavorful as the past Cline vintages, aroma and flavor profile its muted, still tasty, keep in mind this is at opening, I will reevaluate in 1 hour after decanting

Dining incredible,.the amount of age on thus dry creek made it ready to drink at opening and held up fine tasting through out the day. Almost ask young dry creek zins I have had take hours of breathing time before they show what they have to offer, this was perfect. On a blind it tastes like a big napa valley cab, like mi sueno

At opening,.aromas of red berries, Pipe tobacco, on the palate rich candied fruit up front, minerals, layered vanilla finished with a well integrated charred oak finish. I've had this wine before and it gets very rich and concentrated after an hour in a decanter. Finding a zin that will out drink this in an $11 price range will be very difficult. Most zins at this price are artificial, mass produced styled fruit bombs

This has t o be the best 07 cab value on the market. No less than 6 hours of decanting to get this bottle only at the beginning of what it has to offer. Have tried 2 bottles.
This bottle should evolve well for 25-30+ years.

Was originally rating an 82 at opening, the aroma was great but minimal flavor on the palate, now after 2 hours in a decanter, the concentration has increased quite a bit. For an $11.00 Italian, definetly give one a try.

Wine tasted in 28OZ Riedel Bordeaux
Did not take very elaborate notes due to the lack of expected complexity. Wine was stored at cellar temp. from release. Any wine that scores 95+ from critics I usually do elaborate hour by hour tasting notes.

Upon opening, aromas of concentrated cherry, fresh vanilla, a touch of toast.
Palate: Upfront cherry that coats your palate from start through the finish, followed by a nice vanilla essence that transitions in to a pleasant seasoned oak that fades off and leaves a cherry syrup sitting on your palate for approx. 45 seconds.

Due to the drinking window being set at 2017+, we let this one breath for about 4 hours total, retasting on the hour.
Each hour that passed by, this wine was literally loosing complexity. The vanilla essences diminished along with that nice seasoned oak character.
From my experience, wines that are built so well they are not ready to drink for another 7 years need an extreme amount of decanting time to get them to show what they have to offer, this wine drinking the best at opening, and loosing character through decanting tells me this is a drink now wine. From what I can tell, this wine will only loose character during the aging process.
This is a great wine, but believe it has an overinflated critic rating, and not worth its price.

I would put this up against the 2007 R Wines First Class and 2005 Kaesler Stonehorse. Two amazing wines that show much more complexity, balance, and quality.

Bottle stored at room temp.
Very raisiny, not hardly any ripe fruit, still somewhat firm tannins.
Drinkable, not bad but not great.
Would like to try one that has been stored properly.

Wine consumed in 28OZ Riedel Bordeaux.
Had this last night, did not take elaborate notes.
Consumed over a 3 hour period of time, and was opened up nicely after 1 hour.

Sweet ripe fruit aroma, almost a brown sugar character.

The palate is rich and mouth filling, ripe and fruity with a nice lengthy finish.
For a very inexpensive wine the quality is there and worth every penny.

Wine consumed from 28OZ Riedel.
Upon opening,
Purple/ black in color.
Aromas of ripe black cherry, red licorice, and a slight essence of vanilla.
The palate is rich and complex starting with ripe fruits that transition to almost a tart cranberry style, and a slight hint of smoke. This is all accompanied by rustic firm tannins from start to finish.

Excellent Value:
Allow to breathe for at least 2 hours for best drinking.

Wine best consumed from a Riedel Viviant Burgundy 28OZ:
Compared side by side with a 28OZ Riedel Bordeaux.
This Burgundy glass showed a much better aroma, and flavor profile than the Bordeaux

Aromas of peppers, black pepper, dark fruits, and a hint of bacon fat.
The palate is rich and mouth filling, almost creamy, with ripe dark fruits, earth, followed by a nice spicy finish.

Was surprised to get the bacon fat from the syrah making up only 10% of the wine. The syrah could have very well aided in the overall structure and complexity of the wine. Was only detectable in the burgundy glass I spoke of.

On the palate up-front lime zest and grapefruit, a medium acidity, followed by a lingering melon essence.

Well extracted, great balance.

Don't buy this expecting a fruity Americanized Malbec. This is old world style.
Deep purple, lots of earth on the nose, rich mouth feel, the palate shows very little floral and fruit characters, and has exceptional balance.
The most unique 2008 Malbec I have had so far...

Good hot weather wine or light Pinot Grigio alternative, not to be mistaken with a Pinot Gris' richer more extracted style.

The color and texture of water, very little flavor, no acidity aside from the citrus flavor.
Comparable to drinking a cold water with extra lemon.

Have tried this vintage at least 3 dozen times, bottling is inconsistent, but here and there a fantastic wine will show.
Very hit and miss, even if its not right on, still a great night cap wine after drinking all the pricey stuff.

More rustic Italian aromas, big vanilla through the fruit finish that lingers. Not on every bottle but worth it when you get an on par bottle. Notes like this will encourage this winery to strive to be more consistent.

This is my day off, no elaborate notes taken.
