Napa - All my COVID finds; 4/29/2021-5/5/2021 (Napa): Off the charts aromatics with plenty of acidity and tension to age. Depending on how many you have, I wouldn’t touch this one for a while. Score represents the wine today but this has plenty of upside.

6/5/21, 10:51 AM - Honestly, I don’t know if I’m qualified to answer that. The wine is already super interesting so I don’t think you’d be wasting a bottle anytime you chose to open. However, I really think this wine is going take a long time to reach its peak.

Napa - All my COVID finds; 4/29/2021-5/5/2021 (Napa): The 2018 was a beautiful representation of Rutherford with impeccable balance and minerality in the mid palate. Like a lot of 2018's, it certainly needs some time to add depth.

5/11/21, 11:37 AM - I think it was a similar style in that there wasn’t any intrusive winemaking. Not overoaked. However, this wine was completely different than the others I tried in his portfolio. The Greer was very representive of Rutherford in my opinion with the mid palate minerality.

Oh boy was this good. Universal favorite against strong competition over the weekend. I know it’s young but this wine seems to be in perfect balance and already showing significant complexity. I’m sure it is going to continue getting better but is truly a great wine already.

3/1/21, 2:03 PM - We opened 1 - 1.5 hours prior to drinking and I think that was perfect. If you’ve got a few, I certainly would not feel bad about opening one now.

Amazing upon opening the bottle. Deep fruit and earthy flavors, elegant and complex. Splash decanted it for 3-4 hours but it definitely didn’t need that much time. It was amazing with dinner but lost some of the complexity it had in the beginning. I think an hour of air would have been plenty.

Saved a little bit for day 2 and it was still great. The finish lasted forever. My mouth felt like it does after an awesome piece of dark chocolate. All in all, it totally lived up to the hype and was a great bottle of wine.

12/21/20, 5:24 PM - I say go for it! Less is more with the decant time on this in my opinion. 1-2 hours is plenty
