At moments I thought this bottle was slightly flawed and at moments I thought it was just past it's prime, but either way it was sour and oaky and a shadow of the bottle I raved about a year ago.

Loved this. Nice blend of red and dark fruit, mostly dark, and some soy, graphite type flavors with good tannins and a decent length. At first I thought that even now the 1.5 hours of decant wasn't enough but as we drank this over two plus hours I was resigned to the idea that it wasn't opening any more. Still, for the $25 or so that I paid this was delicious and I wish I had six more just like it.

Glad I held this one for a while. It has good dusty cedary red fruit and a nice full mouthfeel. Not real long or overly delicious but solid and enjoyable claret.

Maybe first bottle was flawed and I missed it because this was a much better effort. I still felt like I was drinking portlike wine with dirt and maybe some jerky thrown in.

Still needed an hour of airing to get the full affect but this wine is an amazing QPR at under $10. It delivers musky swirling darkness that yields to riper fruit. A bit high in alcohol.

Had alongside the 05 with prime rib for Christmas dinner. This didn't show as well, less structure and tannin than the 05, more high flying fruit but not the balance...enjoyable but nothing special

A bit light but nice flavors and a pretty solid secondary effort from Boedecker Cellars. There were some clear earthy cranberry boggy type flavors and decent acidity. Good QPR at under $20.

Pineapple, with some flesh of stone fruit, and a floral component dominate with a nice amount of sweetness. I didn't love the somewhat abrupt and awkward finish or I would have rated it higher, but I liked it overall...especially fo the price. Went very well with spicy Thai vegetables cutting through and providing balance.

It was surprising for an under $15 wine but this wine was a totally different wine after two hours of air. Initially it lacked cohesion and was awkward...but two hours later it had a smooth transition and was quite nice.

This has nice citric fruit and is clean tasting but it lacks the acidity of the 08 that made it one of my favorites. It is still a nice wine for $15.

This was terrific with great QPR. Fruity slightly fleshy lychee/peach with citrus acid balance. The finish isn't ripping but definitely provides good balance.

Not cloying but there is a sweetness here that doesn't appeal to me. There isn't enough acid to remove that sense of sweetness from my palate. If you like sweeter wines you will like this more than I did.

This had a nose of funky cherry/raspberry after an hour and added cola on the palate. We enjoyed it very much and were surprised to get this quality for $15. I would have given it an 88 but the last half glass tasted after four hours open was raspberry and floral aspects with no depth, finish, cola, or funk left. It seemed like it could only hang for 2-3 hours. Still...$15!

Admittedly, I like acid...but I loved this wine. And seeing many complimenting this wine at $15-$16 I feel like at the $11.50 I paid I should buy a case instead of the two bottles I have. It is a clear representative example of the style except with less predictable, dull grass, citrus yadda yadda and more acid zip and vibrancy. A steal under $12.

Good crisp fruit. Nose is somewhat challenged but clean citrus and stone fruit with decent grip that gives way to an almost butterscotchy finish without much sweetness. This wine is clean and clever.
