Good value NV, showing a bit of butter and caramel alongside fresh fruit palate. Nice bottle too..

Disappointing. Uniform. Cherry and raspberry. A little earthy. Quite light. Pleasant but uninteresting.

Fresh, a little buttery, a little floral, a little vanilla and a little citrus and minerality. A very nice combination when slightly chilled.

A bit thin. All the elements are there with fruit, spice and earthiness. Tannins are soft but overall lacks punch on the nose and in the mouth. Very nice glass but I think probably kept beyond its peak.

Hung on to this for a while and it's filled out with the tannins now less aggressive. Great value.

This is pretty good value. Medium body and a bit uniform but nice dense fruits on the nose and some spicy and earthy notes once the fruit and alcohol subsides in the mouth.

This is bang on point at the moment, has opened right up. Merlot fruit with cab backbone and depth throughout. Very little not to like. 3 hours+ airing, drunk over six hours. Peak was about 4 hours in.

Terrific. Red and black fruits, herbs and light spice on the nose. Vert slight bricking at the edge. Ripe, fruit first but the herbs, spice and earthiness come through as secondary flavours. Very long, ever so slightly coarse finish. Paired with lamb, this was gorgeous.

This has changed a bit, not necessarily for better or for worse. Nose is rich. Tannins are more or less resolved. No sign of bricking - deep red. Finish has improve..

gravelld has it about right imo. Unfortunately this is the last of mine, but it went down extremely well. Unmistakably SAus cab but a really balanced effort with brooding power but never stepping over the edge.

Very nice. Fine mousse, deep golden colour. Crisp in the mouth with some citrus notes and then more fleshy fruit on the palate. Drizabone, a little acidity which is offset by the bubbles. Buy again.

A fairly basic quaffer, a well-made wine, fresh and mildly acidic but in the end rather unmemorable. I've had better (oo-er) for the £8 that this cost.

Decent. Crisp, fresh with some green notes and a light buttery and vanilla backdrop. Good mouth feel, medium bodied. Well balanced, bit light on the finish. No cloying or over acidity and barrel (I assume barrel) has been done modestly. Enjoyed, if a touch simple.

Very good value. Has opened up and the tannins are integrated well. Cigar box aromas, plenty of black fruit and underlying earthiness. Graphite minerality as a secondary flavour. Quite long. A little uniform but overall a very good bottle. Bought at £14 from the cellar door in 2008 and worth the wait.

Funky nose, which lifted. Black fruit and earth nose. Surprisingly light bodied, short finish. Quaffer and decent for the price but ultimately not very interesting. A bit Victoria Beckham - has the brand, the relationship to something deserving greater acclaim and a decent label, but ultimately when you peel the layers back there isn't very much there.

This is quite fine, and will probably keep for a good while. Dark purple with a slightly lessening at the rim. Blackberry nose. Black fruit and cherry on first taste after an hour of airing. Backed with oak, a touch of spice and the merest hint of minerality. Balanced, medium finish. Enjoued

Excellent example. darkish purple, nose of dark and red berries, some sweetness. Medium bodied. Reasonably fresh, lot of cherry and floral notes, some strawberry. Moderate tannin. Pretty open. Day 2 the tannins had softened leaving a slightly sweet festival of berries with an underlying sense of being 'from the woodland'. Most enjoyable. Was always going to be more Modric than Henderson, but even more than expected. £14.50 from the Wine Society. Good value.

Looks great in the, er, Kabinett. No spritz in this one. Floral and citrus nose. In the mouth the flavours are citrus first and then green apples and a hint of peach. Sugar level is good, fresh but still just on the dry side of medium. Good intensity, not over-bearing with a bit of minerality in the finish.

The wine looks purple colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, raspberry, black currant (cassis), mineral and stoniness. It tastes like black currant (cassis), blackberry, blueberry, strawberry, raisin and sandalwood. The body is medium. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

As per Barry G TN. There is life left in this yet, unfortunately it was never in the best of health due to the excessive booze level. A decent wine lies underneath but only shows itself on occasion.
