Solid value even at 40$ Canadian. Nice dark cherry notes with hints of vanilla and spice. More spicy and dark fruit notes on the palate with a medium finish. Really tasty and concentrated. Well done

Typical Poutet. While it lacks the depth and concentration of a better or hotter year, it makes up for it by a lower alcohol level which to me a welcome change. Great value as always

Much better than previous bottles. Lots of fruit and elegance on the palate. Not an overly complex wine but tasty juice for the price. Raul Perez is an oenological genius.

While this shows finesse and structure, it was way too long to open. I was hoping for more secondary notes after 17 years but alas none were found. Revisit in 10-15 year from now. A bit of a waste opening this now unless you decant for hours

Spectacular. Camphor, sweet cedar and luscious dark fruit plays cascades on the olfactory senses with a interpay of dark chocolate and ripe plum notes on the balanced and juicy palate. This is in such a good spot right even though it can age further. IMHO, it’s in it’s sweet spot. 96-97 points. A wow wine. Glad I have another 5 bottles.

Absolutely beautiful. This is ready to drink, tannins fruit and acid in perfect harmony. Notes of cedar and cherries abound in a medium long succulent finish. 94 points

Flabby and uninspiring. Muted nose with similar replays on the palate. Very overpriced for what should have been a 20$ bottle of Washington Syrah. Not sure if I just had a bad bottle or this is indicative of the cuvée. Not impressed

Dark and brooding wine with lots of plum and dark cherry notes in a little bit of camphor on the pallets. Medium minus acidity with a decently, medium long finish taste sweeter than it actually is but still a very enjoyable drink. Drink up within the next few years.

This is a well-made and traditional styled brunello. Nice cherry and coffee notes on the nose and pallette. Not the most complex but enjoyable. Drink within the next 3 years me thinks.

Excellent. Still deep red with plum and dark fruits on the palate. Nose is brooding with oak and pencil shavings. Short to medium short finish suggests drinking up within 1-2 years. Great value for a 14 year old wine.

Still needs more time although it is now starting to open up. After some decanting, the nose, displays notes of camphor, sweet spicy plum and black cherry. Full body palette, medium to high acidity with a nice plum and black cherry taste on a long finish still pretty tight, and I would say needs at least five more years to fully resolve.

Still a bit young and tannic even after some aeration but very nice nonetheless. Blackberry and cherry notes with some hints of tobacco. Give it 2-3 more years

This wine was sublime and one of the better incarnations of the tondonia reservas. Still young and will need another decade before it shows it stuff. Long cedar finish.
