The nose is a bit neutered and there was a lot of heat on the nose. After 1 to 2 hours of decanting, started to Blossom with kirch liqueur and ripe blackberry notes. This still struggles to remain balanced despite the heat from the vintage which unfortunately isnt as well integrated as I would’ve liked it to be. Hoping my last two bottles fair better.

Nice aromatic and buttery nose but palate fell a bit thin given the nose and a bit watery(vintage woes?) pass

Solid. Really nice nose of petrol, lychee and some pineapple notes but the palate was altogether different showing crisp, almost sharp acidity with lemon and honey notes. Lots of glycerin on the aftertaste and I almost thought it might be a bit flabby but I’m hoping that’s just baby fat that time will trim. Medium long finish. A steal for a GC under 30$.

Very unique and distinct wine. Dark yellow or light orange hazy colour, obviously unfiltered with a nice foam reminiscent of a beer. The nose is very refined with hints of rose petals and peach notes. The palate is rather sweet for a semi-effervescent wine but delivers a nice balance between the sweetness and the bubbles. Short finish but who cares. This is simple but very enjoyable. It’s criminal pleasure given the price.

Collaboration of French chef and winemaker which surprisingly is a great joint venture that produced a very good wine. Lovely tropical notes on the nose with hints of flowers and vanilla. The palate is lush but not too oaky or flabby as the acidity is present to keep it fresh. Medium long finish. Would pair with a white baked fish.
Red
Beautiful nose of dark berries and rhubarb with hints of white flowers, cherries and strawberries. This is tightly would and needs 5 -10 more years before showing its stuff. The palate was closed for business but the structure is there to become something special over time.

Green herbs, grass and grapefruit notes abound in this elegant and decently acidity Sancerre. Nice floral nose and lingering grapefruit and gooseberry notes on the long finish. I like but needs some time

Well made and typical artisanal wine from Perez. Dark brooding fruit with blackberry and oak notes but with a good acidity. Great value.

Dark and brooding but refined with regal class all the way. Structured cedar oak and blackberry notes with hints of vanilla on the full bodied palate. Long finish. This shows the winemaking skill of Chave in a less expensive bottling to his flagship wines.

Beautiful red berries, young cherries and sour plums notes on the palate with a cherry nose. Medium to full bodied, medium acidity and long finish. A stunning value that comes nicely aged. Can keep for 3-4 years more but drinking well right now.

A little brooding upon opening but slowly showed deep forest floor hints along with licorice, blackberry and dark plum notes. The wine was velvety with low acidity and well integrated alcohol. Devant an hour and serve with a hearty meat dish. Medium long finish. Starting its drinking window now and for the next 3-5 years.

This was an off bottle. Tart and bitter notes and simplistic. Nothing like the previous bottles that were outstanding.

Much better than 5 years ago but still a tad hot. Nice dark blackberry notes and oak and spicy plums notes. Long finish with medium acidity. Give it another 3-4 years.

Did not show as well as the previous bottle. I can only assume that this is due to bottle variation. I found the nose muted with an oily and slightly tropical palate. Short finish again muted and lacking anything of substance. Well not corked but I think this is just an off bottle given the first one I had was so much better. I have one last one and see how that goes.

Dark brooding notes of black cherry, cedar and plum permeate through the nose with similar replays on the pallete. This is a modern wine but with a seductive taste that shows quality wine making and delivers immense pleasure. This is so young but will be great in a couple years time. Give it another 5 years and more. Long long plum and cedar finish. 93+

Is there anything this winemaker cannot do well? This is not modern nor a natural wine style but what I call a rustic artisanal winemaker. Loads of blackberries and smoke and leather with blueberries on the nose. Palate a bit more subdued but still full bodied. Very promising but I’d wait 3 years for it to flesh out.

OMG is this good. This is in a perfect place right now with sweet tobacco and dark plum and cedar notes on the nose and palate. Cleverly put together, the texture is so smooth it glides in your mouth. Long finish. Great wine.

Gorgeous fruit. Cherry, figs, notes of vanilla and depth of flavour. Almost seemed a bit young with a good tannic backbone but was open for busy with a slight brooding quality. Pair with red meat dishes. Very masculine wine. 94

This is ready to go. This is becoming a much softer and more subdued version of what it was even 5 to 6 years ago. Gone is the harsh alcohol and the pruny tastes. What shines through is a nice example of an elegant well-balanced Pegau should taste like. Lots of dark blackberry and some provincial herbs on the nose with a replace on the palate. Very nice. 93

Minty. Well aged with hints of camphor and cedar and dark cherries in the nose and palate. A bit of dark chocolate on the palate on a medium long finish. Drink or hold for another 5 years.

Dark matter with nose of charred wood, forest floor, and violets. Palate is full bodied with more woody notes and blackberry notes. Modern and concentrated with a slightly hot finish. Hopefully with time will mellow into something less generic.

Beautiful golden colour, buttery and sweet tropical notes on the nose with similar replays on the palate. This was a little disappointing because I wanted to see more acidity on the palate but alas, none was to be found. Long finish. But still a nice wine

This is at peak. Beautiful tertiary notes and very smooth scents of oak and black current with pencil shavings. Medium bodied with a medium-long finish. Very nice but fading. It’s an 86 so not sure the fruit will outlast the tannins

This is a stunning wine for the price. Modern but elegant and still steeped in tradition. Lovely red cherry and raspberry notes on the palate. This was velvety and smooth to the point where it drinks like water. Character and then some at 18$ a bottle. Medium long finish.

Dark colour but with a bit of bricking on the rims. Elegant and restrained nose of ripe raisins, black cherry with hints of new tobacco pipe. The palate is very balanced with good glycerin feel on a medium-full bodied palate. Hints of mint and lots of vibrant acidity framed by a black cherry notes on the long finish. 92. Points. Not sure if it needs more time or it won’t get any better with time.

Agree with patrioti Panos. This is a very nice and well made bargain level Bordeaux white and it shines in the 2015 vintage. Nose of ripe lychee, ground cherries and matchstick notes with more matchstick and lychee notes on a medium bodied white with short to medium acidity. Long lingering finish brings me back for more. Excellent.

Rather muted on opening but with a bit of coaxing, this showed such elegant fruit in the nose with young morello cherries, rhubarb and young strawberry and some dusty notes. The palate was full bodied and tannic with medium to high acidity framed by fine tannins. After some airtime, this began to shine. Give this another 5 years and it will be singing.

Stunning purity and taste profile. This is a wow wine. Toasted French toast notes with grilled almond on the nose with refined pain brioche on the palate. This shows incredible pedigree and an even more impressive range of flavours that are only now starting to evolve. This is that special bottle you open up on those occasions that call for it. Looong finish. 96+

Stunning. Purity and elegance beautifully combined. Notes of morello cherry and sweet oak replays on nose and palate with hints of cloves. This one needs time but it will shine. Try again in 6-8 years. This is a unique wine and very refreshing in this age of taste uniformity. 94+

I’ve always thought 2005 was a light vintage for Sauternes and this wine doesn’t dispute that. Peach and tropical fruits on display. Lacks depth and acidity to make this a more compelling effort. Medium long finish. Ok but not worth the price of admission.

This is solid and over achieves for the price. Sweet tobacco and some light oak notes on the nose with a dark plum and Cherries on the palate. This comes off as so Bordeaux i wouldn’t be surprised many would assume it was a Bordeaux in a blind tasting. Lovely medium to full bodied and medium acidity. Long succulent finish. This is good to go so I’m not sure of the need to further age this. My points have been 92-94 in the more than 1 case I’ve bought so I’ll settle for 93 points for my official note.
