90 minute decant.
Decent fruit and nose. A little plum, current and eucalyptus but too tannic and hot.
Not concentrated enough to hold up while waiting the tannin to mellow
Time in the decanter didn’t improve it...maybe it’s a pnp at this point.

Tight, oaky...undrinkable the first night...marginally drinkable the second night after a 2 hr decant the first night and then back to the cellar overnight. will not be buying this again.

Maybe my expectations were too high but this wine did not seem to be anything special. Decanted for a few hours and served with food but this wine left me asking why i paid so much. Clearly a well made wine but it didn't do anything exceptionally well. Yes it was smooth, well integrated but it did not have a long finish, fruit was good but not great. Seems to be a lot of better wines out there for the price point. I will lay my other bottles down for a few years and revisit after they have some age on them and hope that does the trick!
