Finally popped this with lamb roast for Easter. May have waited too long. A bit thin, raspberry fruit, and a tad acidic.

Had a funky barnyard flavor. Drank side by side with a 2011 KB Sonoma, and this one was much more expressive.

Gil pointed out the alcohol was high at over 16%, which made me notice the "heat." Spice and cedar on the finish. Tasted better after about an hour.

Again, an unusual example of Washington Cabernet. Leads with cherry, spice, and cedar. This bottle seemed smoother and more enjoyable than the last one we opened.

Drank side by side with our last 2003 QC red, and this one too, was a crowd pleaser. Perhaps more fruit than the '03, and less spice. More blackberry, less plum. I've got one more bottle of '04, and will open it next year!

I figured 20 years was long enough to wait from vintage to opening this bottle. It exceeded expectations! Lots of fruit and structure, with cassis and plum. Stone and cedar flavors as well. Last one, and quite enjoyed it!

This wine is kind of weird for a Washington cab - it doesn't have a deep texture, but rather has a lighter heft than most. There's blackberry fruit, but a tight, tart, cedar-spice finish. Price per satisfying gulp ratio is way too high.

What a pleasant surprise! This wine is medium bodied but full of fruit forward flavor. It finishes with a touch of Woodward Canyon style dusty tannins.

We did a 2018 comparison of Kontos, Eagle Harbor Raptor, QC CVR, and no surprises that this Cab won the day. Velvety tannin, richness, and depth. Smooth blackberry and cocoa powder. Lovely stuff.
